  1. Appreciate the more constructive posts. Now was that all that hard to do? I guess I am just too hung up on V. Jackson. With Rivers at the helm, I think he might become a top-5 receiver by the end of the year... and I'm not a SDG fan boy. I just think Rivers is coming of age and Jackson/Gates are his best weapons. Trigger pulled. Thanks again.
  2. Jealous much? Thanks for the insight. Next.

    Would you do this deal?

I am not high on Slaton. He might have a case of fumbelitis.. which results in far fewer touches for any back. I know being an LT owner this late in his career is tough, but keep pitching him around your league. There might be someone who will give you more just for his name (and past glory). So, no I don't like the trade. I just don't see it adding a lot of value to your team. Here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=351299

Offered a Trade: Brady for R. White and Cutler

I agree, I like the second trade. I think Manningsidfnskalfn will be a footnote in fantasy by the end of the season once the rest of the Giants rec core gets healthy. Plus once the weather goes south up there, like someone already posted, they will go to running more often anyways. (Also, don't give up on Berrian just yet. I think his day in the Vikes offense will be coming. Once it does, trade him!) Could you comment on my trade: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=351299
  5. Could be a case of over-thinking, but here's the details: I lose Fred Jackson and Vincent Jackson and I gain Fitzgerald and Warner. I know the clock is ticking on F. Jackson... once Lynch comes back his production will certainly drop. In my mind Fitzgerald and V. Jackson are equal (I was really high on V. Jackson pre-season). So really the value I am getting for F. Jackson is Warner. I certainly don't need another QB as I already have Rivers and Rothy. But I could use Warner as future trade bait.

    Commish needs insight?

Trade was not fair but I don't think it was on the level of collusion, but it is awful close though. That being said I would have allowed it. Vetoing is reserved for collusion, not bonehead trades. If an owner is dumb enough to pull a trigger on this type of a trade, don't invite him back into the league next year.
  7. Is that signature right? Do you also have McNabb? If so, why is this a decision between Palmer and Pennington? Are you in a 2QB league? At any rate, I don't think you can go wrong with Bush or Johnson. Both have great matchups and lots of upside. If you are in a pts per reception league I would go with Bush. Otherwise, honestly, just flip a coin. I expect both to have good days. Palmer and Pennington is harder to figure out. Pennington has a much better match up.. I do expect Pamler to be much better this year than his week 1 performance but TEN has a nasty def this year. I think the safer play is Pennington this week... as wierd as that is to say.

    Another Brady Dilemma

Actually even better.. when you get lemons, make lemonade! Use Brady as trade bait and try and pickup one of the hot rookie RB out there that would be worthy of protecting..

    Another Brady Dilemma

Dude, are you reading NFL news.. Young is done in the NFL as far as I am concerned. Sure he could make a 180 and come back in a few years but for now, when you hear "Young" think "Vick": http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8550254?MSNHPHMA Anyways, Brady busted 2/3 ligaments (ACL and MCL I think) in his knee. It was in his left leg and he's not much of a scrambler but I gotta think this will take some of the luster of him for next year. I don't know why you are fretting about this since you have Brees and Schaub! I would drop Brady and let some other owner have heartburn over whether or not to take a flyer on him for next year. Meanwhile, at least right now, you have what will most likely be a top 3 QB in Brees and players like Bush, Moss, and Holmes .. all who (right now) are worth protecting. Of course things could change. And I don't think any of those other FA are worth a pickup. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323429

    QB-Cassell, Garrard, Schaub

Wow tough pick here. I think the decision is between Cassel and Garrard. It all depends if you want to roll the dice or take the more conservative approach. I do believe Garrard will have a better week in Week 2. He's at home and TEN is a better defense then most people think. Yea he lost some lineman but I think they HAVE to throw to keep BUF from putting 11 in the box.. Cassel has tremendous upside with his WR core. I just picked him up in a league as well.. you gotta believe that Bellichek knows something about this kid that no one else does. Even so, he could go out and shock the world hurling deep balls to Moss or might have a 7/12, 130 yards type day (think Roethy vs the Colts in the AFC playoff) while all the load is put on their RB. If you are strong at other positions and can afford the risk, go with Cassel. If you aren't and need a solid start, go with Garrard. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323429

    Do I dare sit LT?

(What are you in a 4 man league?!? ) I don't own Grant in any leagues but I thought he had a hamstring issue and talk was that his backups might get more work. At any rate it doesn't matter. For me its a no-brainer, LT and Parker. Don't get down on LT because of one bad week. Everyone gets them, even the stars of fantasy. Den vs Chargers is always a dog fight so look for him to want to open it up. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323429

Who should get the start this week?

I would say Morris.. I like NE's matchup against the Jets more than BAL @ HOU. I picked up Morris in a league as well and I like him as a weak start at #2 over Slaton. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323429

    Roster

I have done this too many times to count as well... look you just got Rivers of the wire as trade bait and it didnt work out. Just like in Poker, sometimes the bluff works and other times it doesn't. So rewind just a few days and go back to the way your roster used to be.. without Rivers! I would not drop Hass because I still believe, by the years end that he will be putting up decent numbers. I guess you could drop Pierre because McAllister *should* be coming back any week now.. but for me it would be Rivers of Pierre. Trade help.. Cassel involved

I won Cassel off the wire this week and now I have two trade offers. First it is a 16 team league and the starting rosters is QB, RB, RB/WR, WR, WR/TE, K, DEF. And my currrent roster is: QB Romo, Cassel RB McGahee, Chris Johnson, J. Stewart, R. Williams, S. Slaton WR S. Holmes, B. Marshall, I. Hilliard, D. Hester The first trade offer is not all that inspiring. But the second is: R. Rice and T.J. Housh for Cassel and S. Slaton. The RB swap I have no problem with. So its really Cassel for T.J. Which is great on paper but then it leaves me with no backup QB. And in a 16 team league, Cassel was the ONLY person worth getting on the wire. My other problem is that TJ is a Bengal.. I know we have only played 1 week but the Bengals first game was troubling to watch. But is this an obvious sell high on Cassel? If you are for or against the trade, I'd like to hear your reasoning.

    Seeking trade advice

Trade 1: I am not sold on Del-"holdme" yet but it does appear that he is not feeling any effects from the surgery. This week is a bad week to get him though (Tampa D).. but then again if they don't have Brooks in there, he could do allright. At any rate, just having to give up Stewart is not a big price to pay. I don't think Stewart is going to be all that productive until/if Williams goes down. I say DO IT. Trade 2: If you weren't already stacked at RB I would say DO IT! I am not high on Marshall this year. But Johnson is definitely going to be a top 10 RB this year.. maybe even top 8. There are rumors that the Titans are done with V. Young so they are going to be running more than ever. If you could sell high on Royal, keep Marshall, and get Johnson, DO IT! If you get some time, take a look at mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323189
