Kupper 0 Posted September 22, 2006 I'm in a pickle this week. For my starting lineup I can pick either 1 rb and three wide receivers, or go with 2 rb and 2 wide receivers. I currently need to decide between the following players: Running Backs Jamal Lewis vs Cleveland Chester Taylor vs Chicago Warrick Dunn vs New Orleans...starting Dunn. Wide Receivers Chad Johnson vs Pittsburgh Santana Moss vs Houston Antonio Bryant vs Philly Should I bench Johnson in favor of Bryant for match-up and Johnson not being 100% Should I bench Lewis in favor of Taylor. Lewis has better match up but isn't 100% Or bench Lewis for starting all three wide receivers? thanks in advance, I'll return the favor,
just_want_2_win 0 Posted September 22, 2006 From what I've read this week Baltimore owns Cleveland and Cleveland can't stop the run. Though dinged I think you'd get good production from Lewis but probably not great due to the injury. C Taylor has been a bear this year and the Bears have shown that they can be run on. (Ahman Green got 110 on them Wk. 1) So go with Taylor and at the WR spots C. Johnson and Bryant. I am not high on S. Moss in that offense he's in. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=236030
BMoreMike 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Lewis set a record for rushing yards against Cleveland a few years back. Historically, he runs all over them and this year, Cleveland doesn't appear to have any greater chance at stopping him. The only thing holding him up is the possible hip issue. He runs split time with Musa Smith and now Mike Anderson as well. If the game is a blowout, I can see Lewis sitting to get Anderson some more game time. Taylor is the #1 guy in Min so he is likely to get a lot of touches, but I look for Chi to have a strong ground game. Chi is 8th against the rush, not too shabby. I am starting Lewis in place of Taylor this week on my team. As for Moss, I am playing him only because it's agains HOU. I think that Brunell will open the air game to him, but his acuracy is in question so far this season. It's a chance, but it's the best one that I have. In Cinncy TJ Housh is still questionable, which really only leaves CJ. While not 100%, I think that he'll do well if TJ is out. If TJ plays, look for a lot of split time because Cinn will want to take it to Pitt - big rivalry there. I'd play Lewis, Johnson and Moss. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=236174
Poloc2289 0 Posted September 22, 2006 chester taylor i think has elevated himself into a play every week so i'd play him. also you gotta play chad johnson, he is an every week guy, especially with the possibilty that henry and housh might be out for this game. so i say you play bryant, johnson, and taylor. moss has a good matchup but his offense is just too bad (aka mark brunell)
BMoreMike 0 Posted September 22, 2006 "Musa Smith (questionable, knee) was unable to finish practice Thursday. Smith already had a long injury history. He's not expected to play against Cleveland in Week 3, meaning rookie P.J. Daniels could be active and work on third downs. If not, Jamal Lewis will likely play on all downs this Sunday. Mike Anderson's role could also increase. - Baltimore Sun" This is good news if you are starting Lewis. Smith has been the biggest threat to Lewis getting the ball on the rush. Anderson will likely get more carries, but Lewis should take the load. Also.. look at this: "T.J. Houshmandzadeh looks ready to make his season debut after practicing Friday. He participated in team drills at the end of practice Friday. Coach Marvin Lewis wouldn't give away Housh's status, but said he made a decision about his receiver's status already. He has to be playing and is a decent WR2 and better WR3 in fantasy leagues this week." If he does play, he'll split time with CJ.
