Take a 0 cause of bye week?

Recommended Posts

Ok so Gates has a bye this week I dont have a backup TE and there are 3 teams 2-0 in my league, and I play one of them. Luckily he has LT on a bye as well and is starting Foster in his spot. Looking at my roster in my Sig I dont see anyone I can risk dropping to fill TE this week cause there isn't anyone I can risk losing in the Waiver next week since I will be towards the bottom since it goes by W-L. So should I take the 0 and hope for the best or do you see someone I should drop? Some Available TE's are listed below

Dallas Clark

Ben Watson

Vernon Davis

John Gilmore

Chris Cooley

Chris Baker

Leave link as always

Yeah that is a bad situation, you really don't want to lose Gates. Watson is your best option after that. To tell you the truth you need to ask yourself how much you like Gates. B/c you really can't lose anyone like you said. You may just have to take a 0 this week, but if you end up losing by a point or 2 you'll be kicking yourself later. I'd probably try goin with Watson, but if you didn't I would understand that too. Good luck man

mcnair seems to be your most expendable. quarterbacks are easy to just pick up for a week or two so i say drop him. but instead of picking up dallas clark who is no doubt a good TE, i would pick up Ben Watson. indy is playing jacksonville so i dont intend on clark having that great of a game while watson is brady's favorite target against a lackluster broncos defense. drop mcnair and pick up watson. thats alot better then taking the 0

Help Please!!

I decided to drop Pennington for Watson cause the other 7 owners are pretty set at QB for now and we now ould have Pennington, Warner, A. Smith, Carr, Favre, Brees, McNair in the FA pool so I will have plenty of options to pick from more than likely, plus Culpeppers bye isn't til Week 8 so unless he bombs out this week against TEN I am going to probably stick with him for a little longer, plus I know i'd kick myself if i took a 0 and lost by a few points. Thanks for the help.

That sounds like the best solution. You never want to take a zero ever, and your league has so much talent available that you can afford to occasionally dump someone relatively expendable and not worry about it too much.
