That sounds like the best solution. You never want to take a zero ever, and your league has so much talent available that you can afford to occasionally dump someone relatively expendable and not worry about it too much.

Might try to get Cotchery in my lineup..who should I bench?
Aaron Brooks is my hero posted a topic in A Little Help!
Right now, I'm starting D. Jax, Hines Ward and Donte Stallworth. I definitely want to keep Stallworth active, but I have Cotchery on the bench and I'm thinking of starting him this week since it looks like he might be the go-to guy in a pass-heavy offense and is proving to be a good option. My gut is to bench Hines Ward. But Deion Branch is also expected to start for the Seahawks and this may have an adverse affect on D. Jax as I think they'll try to get him involved early. Then again, D. Jax had a good week last week and has a connection with Hasselbeck. What do y'all think? Will answer yours if you point me to it. Thanks! -
I think you definitely pick-up Branch and Williamson now. I think both are going to make strong cases for fantasy starts in the next week or two, and then everyone will be tripping over themselves to get them if they're still available. So I'd hit it now.

I'd like to upgrade my QB position (Rivers and Leftwich), and as I've combed through my league and found a guy with Drew Brees (not starting). He's a little weak at TE right now, and Randy McMichael is expendable on my team (also have Todd Heap and Dallas Clark)....so I think that might be somewhat enticing. QBs get 1 pt for 25 yards passing and 4 points for every passing TD....TEs get 1 point for every 10 yards, 6 points for every TD. Think I can manage a straight up trade out of this, or do I need to throw another player in? If so, what caliber?

Try shooting higher than Wayne at first. I don't think that trade is so bad, because Wayne would improve your receiving corps, you've got a good stable of RBs and Westbrook has questionable durability anyway. I also think that Philly may try and get Buckhalter some looks over the season. RBs are more valuable than WRs in most standard formats and Philly as a whole looks great offensively, so let that value work for you. Start with someone like Fitz or CJ and if that doesn't work counter with Wayne.

Uh oh no more TO and I think I need to make a trade here
Aaron Brooks is my hero replied to VikingFan's topic in A Little Help!
Unless we find out something that will keep TO out for more than the next four weeks (I've heard estimtaes from 2-4 weeks out, I'd stand pat. You don't want trade away guys like Gore or Dunn for what is essentially a quick fix. It sounds like you at least have a servicable batch of WRs to work with. If you can snag someone like Marques Colston or Jerricho Cotchery off the waiver wire, I think you might have enough to hold you until TO comes back. If you decide to make a trade, you need to shoot for someone who you can continue to use even when TO comes back. -
Should I trade Stallworth for Boldin?
Aaron Brooks is my hero replied to Streaky's topic in A Little Help!
Shop around. Now is definitely the time to shop Stallworth. Without knowing the rest of your roster, my initial reaction is that I'm not sure how this deal would make your team better unless you think Stallworth is a fluke, Boldin will consistently get you double-digits or you have ultra-serious bye week problems. -
Am I wrong for passing up R.Moss and Jordan for Stallworth?
Aaron Brooks is my hero replied to throttlers's topic in A Little Help!
I wouldn't touch this trade for the following reasons: 1) Moss and Jordan both play on the same team. So you risk one stealing looks from the other. If Brooks/Walter/whoever looks Moss' way all day, Jordan loses out and vice versa. 2) That team is the Raiders, which so far haven't shown they can do anything. So you only compound the problem described in number 1. You can do stuff like that with the Colts or any other team that spreads the ball out and has a good offense, but not here. 3) Stallworth is McNabb's number 1 and Philly has shown it can move the ball offensively. He's also one of the fastest (if not the fastest) guy in the NFL. 4) Stallworth's stock is obviously on the rise, while Moss and Jordan are on the decline. -
Whichever one Wayne could get you straight up is the one I would go with. You might be able to steal Portis away, but then I think you're looking at Harrison plus another player, and even then that might be a little bit of a stretch.

Jason Campbell is essentially our number 2. Todd Collins was brought in mostly as an offensive mentor, because he knows the Saunders system so well (supposedly). Basically, Gibbs likes older experienced quarterbacks. He's not a guy who develops and molds them like Norv Turner It's a primary reason Ramsey ain't around anymore. So they're probably going to ride the Brunell as long as they can before it's apparent he's just not the guy. Jason Campbell has gotten a whole lot of work, but I'm sure that's going to change over the course of the season.

Got a hot team so far, should I think about some trades?
Aaron Brooks is my hero posted a topic in FFToday Board
My team has far exceeded my expectations this year. I should win my game this week (leading my opponent by 40 and still have Hines Ward to go...he has Pitts D), and I've gone over 100 points two straight weeks. Here are my skill positions: QB: Rivers Bench: Leftwich, Vince Young RB: Gore, Rudi Johnson Bench: Tatum Bell, Travis Henry, Chris Perry (RJ handcuff) WR: Hines Ward, D Jax, Stallworth Bench: J. Cotchery (late round keeper pick), Troy Williamson, Troy Brown TE: Todd Heap Bench: Dallas Clark, Randy McMichael. I need to upgrade the QB position somewhat....I'm really gambling on Rivers or Leftwich breaking out here. I think my RB depth is servicable, but not great. I feel like I'm pretty well stacked at WR and TE. Any suggestions on which way to go? PS: Thanks for all the help on Gore/Bell this week. -
That's great value for Smith and you have some good upside with Bush. Take it, definitely.

Pick two WRs: Evans, Glenn, Troy Williamson?
Aaron Brooks is my hero replied to PaintGuru's topic in A Little Help!
Evans and Glenn. As much as I hate to say it, Washington has the deck stacked against them when it comes to defending the pass. -

Gore and Foster As for WRs, I think you go Moss and Stallworth. Oakland will probably be playing from behind, and they're going to have get Moss involved. Heap looks to be probable at this moment, and he's considered McNair's favorite target, and Travis Taylor will get a lot of looks too. -
Moss is a must-start over a guy like Matt Jones. Oakland is going to have to find a way to get him involved. As for that trade, I think you should stick with Plax for now. That offer is a classic case of dealing a guy when his value is at it's highest, and since we're only at week 2 is really tough to evaluate Stallworth at the moment. I think he'll have a great season but it's just a little to early at this point to deal someone like Plax for someone like Stallworth. I don't think you lose anything by hanging on to Plax right now.
