ramblin'wreck 0 Posted September 23, 2006 I have a bunch of good WRs but none of them is super great .. there is a question almost every week who I should start. should I package them and make a trade for a stud (e.g. Holt, Boldin, Fitz, TO, Harrison)? Or it is better to have a depth like this? Which one will benefit me more over the course of the season? Here is my WR corps .. S Moss, D Jackson, D Branch, R Williams, G Jennings, A Bryant Please leave links. I will answer all, as always.
madd futher mucker 36 Posted September 23, 2006 I'm letting you in on a ff management secrets here. Be quick to the wire to build your depth and immediately trade up 2 for 1 for a better player and another roster spot for more depth. I classify all my players as an A, a B or a C (D's and F's are immediately cut). I'm allways looking to trade 2 b's for an A or 2 C's for a B. The secret is being an aggressive (but fair) trader, and aggressive with your pick-ups. Get good enuf at it and you will win. BTW, you do have very good WRs - all your WR's are b's in my system - Branch and Jennings maybe B-. Two for 1 for A's. But what about the rest of your team? Say, for example, you have Holt and three scrubs; why would you want to trade away your one sure guy, so that you can deal with six headaches? Also, you would have to conjure up an extra pair of roster spots for the added headaches.

ggroovy17 0 Posted September 23, 2006 Yes, I would trade S.Moss/D.Branch for a stud WR because I think these guys only have a 5-7 TD ceiling. Get a stud WR that will get you 10tds and keep DJax because he'll get more TD's than those other two. Thanks for anwering mine.
ramblin'wreck 0 Posted September 23, 2006 Who do you think I can get for Moss/Branch? What about Bryant/Branch?
pwilliams 0 Posted September 23, 2006 I dont think anyone is going to trade away 1 stud WR for 2 other WRs. If you are going to play the 2 for 1 game, you have to put in a RB/WR or QB/WR. If you have depth at RB or QB find someone that is weak in that area give him what he needs and throw in a WR to make up the difference in talent.
