Bills04 56 Posted September 23, 2006 Hi everyone. I made the WRONG call last week, at QB .. and it cost me a win. I went with C-Pep "at home" and needing a win, instead of Vick, who ran all over TB DEF. I'm 95 percent sure that I'll start Vick THIS week .. although the TEN match-up is VERY enticing. TEN was one of the worst in the league in '05, in allowing passing TDs, and it doesn't look like they've gotten much better in '06. Question 1: Play M. Vick of ATL as QB vs. NO, or D. Culpepper of MIA vs. TEN? At TE - I drafted B. Watson in both leagues that I'm in, and drafted J. Wiggins in one league as a back-up .. and took a "late-flier" on Desmond Clark of CHI in the other. Ummmm - D. Clark has outplayed B. Watson BOTH weeks so far! B. Watson was BARELY on the FF radar for EITHER game vs. DEN "last year." Additionally, NE is now playing WRs Gabriel AND Johnson... (Unfortunately, in my Wiggins league, someone grabbed Clark off the waiver wire in Wk 1.) Question 2: "Stick with" B. Watson of NE vs. DEN, or "follow the trend" and start D. Clark of CHI vs. MIN? At WR - I've got D. Driver (YES!) .. and then a bunch of chumps at WR. I have gone with R. Brown of PHI the first two weeks. While he "has" scored TDs for me each week - he hasn't done much else. He is also PROBABLE this week, with a minor injury. I picked up M. Furrey of DET this week, who is playing against a WEAK GB secondary. BUT - I also heard that DET is "platooning" the #2 WR spot between Furrey and Bradford... Question 3: Stay with R. Brown of PHI vs. SF, or go for the likely high-scoring game between DET and GB, and start M. Furrey? Thanks, and remember to leave your link. I return replies! Pound 0 Posted September 23, 2006 QB is tuff.. If Culpepper can't get it done vs TEN then MIA is dead for the season. Flip a coin Clark - best TE in FFL thru 2 weeks. Brown - His week to shine
whahaa 0 Posted September 23, 2006 i've got vick on my team too and i say START HIM. even if culpepper has a great game, vick will still do even better. he is looking like he's really got it going this season and should have his biggest game yet against NO. culpepper on the other hand, despite going at TEN, hasn't looked so good. go with the point machine, vick. TE seems like a toss up to me, only because the TE position as a whole is so variable. you never know who's gonna get the touchdown. however, having said that, i would go with Clark. he's been doing great this year and Watson has underperformed. and as for your WR, i say stick with Brown. anyone on the Lions makes me nervous. angman 0 Posted September 23, 2006 I'd go with Vick in that game in NO, i think it's gonna be pretty high scoring As for TE, depends on the scoring, if it's PPR, I think Watson will get a lot of looks this week, although Clark would be more likely for a score in the red zone I'd also go with REggie Brown at SF seeing that Donte's already gimpy. Thanks with mine
Bills04 56 Posted September 24, 2006 "It is a new day!" Other than "bumping" - another question: I've got BOTH TB DEF (H, vs. CAR) and STL DEF (at ARI). At first I was leaning towards STL .. but after the debable last week, against SF .. I'm now leaning towards TB. ESPECIALLY if CAR WR S. Smith is OUT. But if S. Smith starts... Thoughts on which DEF to go with??? Remember to leave YOUR link! "It is a new day!" Other than "bumping" - another question: I've got BOTH TB DEF (H, vs. CAR) and STL DEF (at ARI).
