PhinsFTW 0 Posted October 13, 2006 I have Antonio Bryant as a usual starter on my team, but this week he has to play SD (#1 defense in the NFL) and i have the feeling that he's gonna be ineffective especially considering that Alex Smith will be on his behind most of the game. my question is... would anyone actually start Michael Clayton against the Bengals over Bryant this week? Clayton has been extrememly quiet, yes, but Cincy's D isn't good and Gradkowski seems to throw the ball alot. Would you roll the dice and play Clayton or would you go with the more proven Bryant who will probably not have a good game? How about Az-Hakim? would you start HIM over Bryant? thanks. slpbaseb12 0 Posted October 13, 2006 thats tough, I'd normally say that you should never start a #2 WR over a #1 seeming as Bryant should get more looks, but Smith will be throwing from his a$$ all game. However, Bryant isn't a possesion guy, hes a big play guy. His score come on 60 yd. plays, so that is always possible during a game, no matter how good the defense is. I'd start Bryant. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243620
MFFLWarPigs 0 Posted October 13, 2006 I'd go Bryant also, at least you've got a shot with a long bomb, especially since it'll probably be a blowout. See mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243624
Ryedog 0 Posted October 13, 2006 Clayton is not worth a packet of sugar! Go Bryant for the big play but I would actually consider Hakim for a safe pick. He will probably get you 4-5 catches 50-60 yards maybe a TD. Mine? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243633
MJCtaxi 0 Posted October 13, 2006 if your not expecting much from either then go with bryant, at least he has the chance of getting a big play i say bryant goes 3rec. 66yds clayton 3rec. 36yds http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243622

IndyFan 2 Posted October 13, 2006 Bryant is the start - you can always hope for some garbage points when the prevent defense is employed. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243658
