WSIS - Hasselbeck vs. Grossman; V. Hayes vs. M-Rob;

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I've got "questions" with BOTH teams this week... Team #1 - at QB - go with Hasselbeck (at STL) or Grossman (at ARI). I took Hasselbeck in the 3rd round, and he is without Alexander. But - Grossman is playing ARI, who is horrible. I'm leaning towards Hasselbeck, because STL will score points, and he'll need to throw to keep up. Also, I believe CHI will run the ball all day, once building a lead.

At RB - I'm "hurting" due to the bye week. I picked up Vernon Hayes of PIT as a filler, who plays at home vs. KC. I also obtained Mike Robinson of SF, who plays home vs. San Diego. I'm leaning towards V. Hayes, because I think KC will score vs. PIT, and W. Parker will be relegated to the bench for the 3rd-down back which is Hayes. Also, M-Rob had quite a few red-zone carries LAST week, and didn't convert on any of them...

At WR - I'm definitely going with DET WR M. Furrey (BUF 2ndary banged up; R. Williams is injured). So - my #2 WR is between Keyshawn Johnson (at BAL) or J. Horn who is home vs. PHI. CAR @ BAL worries me, because BAL DEF is so good. Also, Delhomme I think will "lean on" S. Smith, who is back. Horn had 4 receptions for 76 against PHI a year or two ago, and that isn't too bad. Also, I think PHI's 2ndary is hurting, and PHI will score vs. New Orleans. So, Brees will need to throw.

Let me know your thoughts on the above, and remember to leave YOUR link! :unsure:

Hmmmm - I did change my QB from Hasselbeck to Grossman. I "forgot" that Chicago will be playing on Monday night! They will want to show "everyone" they are for real. Also, I don't like Hasselbeck as much, with WR B. Engram being out...

About Horn vs. Keyshawn - I did some more research. New Orleans AVE passing = 239 yards, 5 TDs to date. Carolina AVE passing = 178, with only 4 TDs to date. (Advantage J. Horn.) Vs. the respective defenses: PHI allows AVE 230 yards and 5 TDs to date. BAL allows AVE 146 yards, and only 3 TDs to date. (Again, Advantage J. Horn.)

So - while Keyshawn bests Horn in Season-To-Date stats by almost a 100 yards, and he has 4 TDs (including one rushing) - I still think Horn is a better play.

Thoughts???

Okay - it is Sunday morning.

"Last bump!"

P.S. Part of the reason why I liked Hasselbeck so much is that St. Louis' 2nd AND 3rd DBs are Questionable this week!
