Trade offered to me. Is there anything here to work with?

Recommended Posts

I have been offered a trade that I thought I would reject, but I'm looking to see if there is anything here to work with, a possible counter offer or something.

I have been offered N. Davenport, B. Jacobs, N. Washington & S. McNair all for LJ or Ronnie Brown (my choice) Now he's going to have to drop one RB and one WR before Sunday to keep his roster legal, due to the positional roster limits of our 16 team league.

Here's his roster, mine is in my signature.

QB - P. Manning, S. McNair

RB - R. Johnson, B. Jacobs, N. Davenport, J. Norwood

WR - R. Brown, R. Williams, B. Berrian, N. Washington

TE - L.J. Smith, J. Wiggins

K - J. Kasey, D. Rayner

DST - Broncos

Does anyone see any possibilities here?

Thanks

you need help at WR, but your RB depth makes up for it. i wouldnt trade that away, especially in a 16 teamer. he needs to make cuts so he's just trying to dump his cuts in a trade. i wouldnt do it. youre only gonna help him to win if you give him one of your backs .

Stand pat, and wait for him to dump his extras. Thanks for answering mine.

No way would I trade away either of those for sheer numbers--you'll be giving up too much for dead weight. If he has to drop anyway, just wait and see what becomes available. Don't sacrifice quality for quantity.

Thanks for looking at mine.

yea, that trade is a bumb one. don't do it--for a 16 team league i would think you have one of the better clubs.

Looking at his team, I'd only be targeting Peyton with your lineup. Don't see how you guys will find a mutual understanding.

His trade is garbage, suggesting to me he will be tough to negotiate with.

Please get mine...
