kobefan88 0 Posted October 18, 2006 I need some help for this week. I need to start 2 of these guys: Rudi Johnson (vs CAR) Kevin Jones (@ NYJ) Fred Taylor (@ HOU) Normally I would start Rudi as a no-brainer, but this week posed a different challenge. Both Jones and Taylor have great matchups, but I'm still reluctant to bench a starter like Rudi Johnson. Even if I start Rudi though, which of the other two should I start? Or should I just bench Rudi and start the other two? TD = 6pts 10 yards rush/rec = 1 pt Thanks in advance.
nautzerious 0 Posted October 18, 2006 Kevin Jones and Fred Taylor- Carolina's run "D" has been stout the past 3 weeks. Mike Anderson 6 carrries for 7 yds. Jamal I need some help for this week. thannay 0 Posted October 18, 2006 Never sit your studs. Go with Rudi and Taylor. K Jones is still waaaay too inconsistant. Cincy's passing game will open it up for Rudi compared to Anderson in Balitmore.
vjjjc 0 Posted October 18, 2006 I agree, Never sit your studs and Rudi seems to do better against the tougher defenses. As for #2 I would go with Kevin Jones because Maurice-Drew might take some of Taylor's thunder. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245357
redshirtrookie 0 Posted October 18, 2006 jones and taylor, no doubt. KJ is coming on and the jets give up too many yds. he's second in the league in receptions for RBs. he gets his points either way. taylor simply for the matchup.
Fantasy Guru 0 Posted October 18, 2006 Rudi and Jones. Rudi has to break outta his slump so I wouldn't bench him. See mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245403
catelo 0 Posted October 18, 2006 Rudi and Jones. You have to beleive that Cinci gets back on track after a tuff loss last week. Besides I'd rather crash and burn with my studs any day.
toppshelff 0 Posted October 18, 2006 Jones and Taylor... I always start my studs, but Rudi is on the edge of stud-hood. If you are a sure-win week, start Rudi and Jones, but if any doubt, go Jones/Taylor. Thanks for getting mine.
mccombsau 5 Posted October 18, 2006 I really like KJ (even with the hip pointer) and i would go with Rudi.... Can't use the Baltimore's running game as a barometer for Carolina's D because they don't have one right now... I think Jones-Drew is going to be a bigger factor following the bye week(I think they will add some more plays made up esp. for him), a Bushesque type of RBBC.... By the way, this is a pretty good problem to have....In my league we can start 3 RB's and I wish i had your backfield Thanks for your help

I also agree, never sit your studs, but I agree Rudi is on the edge of studhood. KJ will likely do better vs Jets. I'm pretty agreeable today.... http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245421

I thought it was decent, but with Kevin Jones becoming a threat and Fragile Fred healthy (cross fingers), I think I have a chance this year.
