Who should I keep for next year, and trade this year?

I am in a 12 team keeper league and have Shaun Alexander and Reggie Bush on my team. I have kept SA the past few years obviously, but he is getting older and I like the potential of Reggie Bush for the next 10 years. If I keep Alexander it is very unlikely I will be able to snag Bush in next years draft. I am looking at trading one or the other to an another team, that is totally in the tank, that has kept Tiki Barber the past couple of years. With Tiki said to be retiring his only options for a keeper next year are Cadillac or Trading for one this year.

 

Should I try to stock up, at his expense and trade him Alexander? Then next year keep Bush.

dude. My buddy in my league did this EXACT move....he traded SA, with the hopes of Bush being the man, for Tiki "dont call me torch or Ill kick your a$$" Barber....

 

I liked the move then and I love it now....do it and dont look back. Im a Bears fan (ala Mike Brown) and those foot injuries seem to come up at least once a year.

I would trade SA and try to get leinart. Then at the end of the year you can decide you best to keep. Also you could use some extra QB help. If i was the other guy depending on rules and scoring i would probably keep caddy or leinart.

 

To really answer what you were asking Yes i would trade SA to make your team stronger. I would keep bush or if i could get leinart i could decide at the end of the year. It is a long way and injuries happen

I our league very average qb's put up good numbers, so I would never consider keeping a qb unless they were having Manning type of numbers (a couple years ago).

Not sure a trade with this team makes you stronger other than Leinhart and Winslow to cover LJ's bye in week 9. I would trade SA for an elite WR-Holt,Smith,etc
