What to do about non paying owner?

Can his dues be taken out of any winnings? If not, threaten to forfeit ALL of his games for the ENTIRE yr and find a new owner for next yr. This threat may force him to conveniently come up with his dues. Sounds like the old commish got tired of this deadbeat and gave you the headache

    Veto on incompetent Team Manager

very sticky situation. I think it depends on when the trade was offered. Example; Team A proposes a trade to receive Portis and give up kevin Jones last Wednesday. Team B doesn't accept until after Portis got hurt Sunday. Should team A bite the bullet for leaving a trade out there indefinitely, and allow team B to benefit from Team A's mistake and take advantage of the situation? Or should team B take the high road and cancel the trade? If this was an all friends league, i would say that the trade should be vetoed to preserve friendships. If this is a dog eat dog league, let the trade go thru and Team A has learned a valuable lesson. (CANCEL ALL TRADE OFFERS BEFORE THE GAMES START FOR THE WEEK!!!) Example 2: However if Team A offered kevin jones to receive Portis after Sunday thinking portis injury wasn't serious, Team A gambled and lost-no veto It does not apply here but for future reference, I agree with the other reply that if a Portis owner OFFERED this trade after the injury, I would veto and admonish the Portis owner but this is not the case here MOST IMPORTANTLY: All trades should be evaluated on the merits of the two teams involved, where the trade probably helps both teams in the traders opinions. I dont think other league members or a Tyrant league manager should imput their own opinions and their own values of players involved and veto a trade based on the values they put on players. The only way a trade should be vetoed is if it is OBVIOUS COLLUSION on the part of the traders. Your opinion isn't necessarily correct. I know this is off the track but I see to many times that other league members or a commisioner will be BIASED and veto a trade based on how it effects their team instead of the merits of the trade

    Portis, Westy, or K. Jones!

Westbrook and Jones- But I would not trade one away- Keep all three and play the best match-ups all yr and insure a good RB tandum throughout the playoffs and insurance against injury

Tough call at RB (and others)

I actually like your picks but; According to the Kansas City Star, Chiefs QB Damon Huard (groin) felt better on Friday and hopes to play Sunday vs. Seattle. "I don't think it's the end of the world," a visibly frustrated Huard said as he clutched a wooden lectern. "I don’t think it's really that big of a deal. And hopefully on Sunday I can go out there, feel good and just play ball." (Updated 10/28/2006). FANTASY ANALYSIS The fact remains that the decision between Huard and Brodie Croyle will be made likely an hour before kickoff. Monitor the inactives prior to kickoff if you're thinking about starting Huard. Don't consider Croyle unless you are desperate as desperate gets. Frankly, starting Huard is pretty desperate as well as far as Week 8 is concerned. Huard just got hurt- may play but it is a groin-better go with Alex Both are 1:00 starts Thanks for mine

    Which Defense

You might get more replies if ya told us how your defenses are scored in your league I am in one league where points and yds allowed weigh heavily in the scoring and another league defenses only score with sacks, fumble recoveries, and INT's

BIG TRADE.... will help all who answer

This trade really depends on your league standings. If you are doing well, I would stand pat and get SA back next week. I like Fred (very nice SOS)over Washington-could be a flash in the pan. But if you are in panic mode, i would make the deal now and get the healthy portis and HOT rookie Washington and try to get back in it. If you are middle of the pack--------------PUNT http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=247919
