Denver or Philly Defense this week?

I have Philly Def available this week however I can pick up Denver. So far no one has picked them up. They have not scored a lot of fantasy points this year but I hear some people saying that they will against the Browns. I think they are a bit undersized compared to the Browns O-line but ultimately I am confused so I am asking for some help. I have the Saints on my roster for Wk 9 when Philly is on a bye because they face the Bucs. If you think I should grab Denver, who would I drop?

I think you need to keep Philly, so if you want Denver drop NO. But I would play Philly this week

Denver defense is solid (1 TD all year or something ridiculous) but

I think Philly will score points vs Tampa, forcing Gradkowski to throw a couple INTs. So if it is takeaways that are important, I would stay with Philly.

 

Next week (#8) Jax is at Philly- which depending on Leftwich's health could be tough or great matchup.

Colts at Denver in wk 8, that could go either way too.

 

Saints should shut down Ravens in wk 8 and have decent matchup with Tamba Bay week 9.

 

Sure, Denver is strong, but if you can have only two defenses, I don't see any real benefit to dropping either Philly or N.O.

Depending on your league scoring makes all the difference but here is my slant:

 

Denver is a solid yardage/points allowed defense but doesn't get the turnovers

 

Your defenses match up well until week 12

 

Week 7 Philly @ T Bay

week 8 NO vs Balt (struggling offensively)

week 9 NO @ T Bay (Philly bye)

wk 10 Philly vs Wash (Hosting Wash I like)

wk 11 Philly vs Tenn

 

as stated in my earlier post, I believe going into the most crucial part of the season, I dont think you can count on N Orleans after week 13 and philly faces powerful offenses during your playoffs

 

Indy, carolina,Wash,NYG, and Dallas (Could wk 12 Indy then wk 13 carolina knock you out of the playoff hunt?)

 

As stated b4- you have a solid team and dont see where trading WR for WR helps

 

I would maybe try this:

 

1)play the matchups til week 9

2)trade away N orleans after they explode against T bay for depth

3)assure yourself of a playoff berth

 

then trade Philly and WR for:

best thing that can happen is you're right and you keep Philly or I'm right about Philly and you exit the season quickly
