jerryskids 7,037 Posted November 8, 2006 I've got Brees as the starter but need a backup. Here is who is available: Huard, Damon QB KC Frye, Charlie QB CLE Plummer, Jake QB DEN McNair, Steve QB BAL Gradkowski, Bruce QB TB Harrington, Joey QB MIA Walter, Andrew QB OAK Batch, Charlie QB PIT Wallace, Seneca QB SEA Garrard, David QB JAC I'm thinking McNair, or somebody I know will be starting if Brees goes down in a few weeks. Thoughts?
Scruffdawg 0 Posted November 8, 2006 Huard is doing great, but the situation is unclear if/when Green comes back. So if you need a for-sure starter, I'd go with Plummer over McNair. Denver offense is really sttarting to come around, plus their D gives them lots of turnovers, plus Plummer is really starting to connect with J. Walker lately. On the other hand, BAL offense still is bad I dont care who's calling the plays. McNair just hasn't been able to capitailze on the D's turnovers. Plummer's no superstar, but he's definitely playying better, plus throws very few INTs. Good Luck!

I think the odds are very low, as Shanny would be nuts to rock the boat at this point, but it is there. Whereas McNair is the man in Baltimore. But your point is well taken. ozguy 0 Posted November 8, 2006 Since its a back up, don't go safe, take a risk. Maybe Garrard is your man. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=251893
Wiserman20 0 Posted November 8, 2006 I like Plummer as a back up... he is playing decently as of late and the Cutler calls have died down... most of those other QB's listed are going to go through controversy soon... I do see the upside of Gerrard as well but I'm just not a fan of Jax's offense other than of late... keep an eye out there. Huard may look tempting but with the Green calls he may fold... plus with LJ hogging up all the TD's there isn't much love there.
