lambert58 73 Posted August 6, 2007 Ehh... 10 team draft and your second back is Jones-Drew. Not good. He is still a part time player... McNabb's injury history makes me believe that there were other better options available...Eli as the backup is not good. Your back up running backs are so-so. Not a solid starter in the bunch.. Peterson (if it is the rookie) has a chance but still not a proven second starter. Smith, Colston, and Driver are solid.. Defense is questionable. Zack Thomas is not the player he was 2 or 3 years ago... I would rank teams 2, 3, 8, and 10 above yours... Overall I would give you a C to C+. Good Luck.. 4th and 26 0 Posted August 6, 2007 The way I looked at it was: 1: LT, no brainer 2: was a toss up between MJD and Edge and I decided on MJD due to the fact that the Card's offense won't ever be running in the second half 3: Steve Smith was a steal here. 4-5: Colston and Driver are great options for 2-3 wideouts 5.7: McNabb if healthy is going to produce. He's done it for 4 years straight. I was tempted to take Rivers here though. I completely forgot about my backup QB until the later rounds and was lucky to snatch Eli that late. I would have preferred Delhomme, but I definitly should've been looking for an adequate backup about 5 rounds prior. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Pimptaddy 0 Posted August 7, 2007 Owner #9 took Vince Young as his starting RB? He also took Romo and he will produce better than VY. His top two backs if I can call them top backs are Reggie Bush, who is at best a very good RB2 with alot of upside and Ahman Green? The VY pick was just dumb, as he will be starting Romo most games anyway. He could have taken another top 20 RB. This guy better hope Ahman Green doesn't get hurt, as Ron Dayne might be a decent fantasy RB 2-3 by mid season. Don't laugh, Dayne was last year and he won me a title. I had LT, Reggie Bush Travis Henry and Ron Dayne. I of course started LT, and was debating over Bush and Dayne. I started Dayne and won, but would have lost if I had started Reggie. Owner #9 is drafting on name value and who has the most commercials and endorsements. Enjoy watching Owner 9 get owned at abandon his team mid season. Beyond 2 or 3 of you guys...have any of the rest ever played ff...or have any concept of what they are supposed to be doing? You have LT so you always have a decent shot.
