waliguy 0 Posted August 31, 2007 I went against conventional wisdom and 10+ years of FFB experience and drafted BALTIMORE last night. The second I hit the draft que, I started regretting NOT taking WR2. Oh well, gimme some feedback: SCORING - Completions (.2) Passing Yards (25 yards per point; 2 points at 250 yards) Passing Touchdowns (6) Interceptions (-2) Rushing Attempts (.2) Rushing Yards (10 yards per point; 1 points at 100 yards) Rushing Touchdowns (6) Receptions (.5) Reception Yards (10 yards per point; 1 points at 125 yards) Reception Touchdowns (6) Return Touchdowns (6) 2-Point Conversions (2) Fumbles Lost (-2) Offensive Fumble Return TD (6) Field Goals 0-19 Yards (3) Field Goals 20-29 Yards (3) Field Goals 30-39 Yards (3) Field Goals 40-49 Yards (4) Field Goals 50+ Yards (5) Point After Attempt Made (1) Sack (3) Interception (3) Fumble Recovery (3) Touchdown (6) Safety (2) Block Kick (2) Kickoff and Punt Return Touchdowns (6) Points Allowed 0 points (10) Points Allowed 1-6 points (6) Points Allowed 7-13 points (4) Points Allowed 14-20 points (2) Points Allowed 21-27 points (0) Points Allowed 28-34 points (-2) Points Allowed 35+ points (-4) MY TEAM (12 team league): QB: Bulger (3.6), Smith (12.7) RB: Addai (1.6), Jacobs (2.7), Jones (6.7), Norwood (7.6), Peterson/CHI (14.7) WR: Housch (4.7), Bruce (10.7), Henderson (11.6), Muhammad (13.6) TE: Cooley (9.6), Daniels (15.6) K: Nedney (16.7) D/ST: BALTIMORE!!! Vanillarainstorm 0 Posted August 31, 2007 Yeah your wideouts overall suck. You should have grabbed one instead of a D. i like your backs though, good job with that
-bp- 0 Posted August 31, 2007 I like the RB's, and Bulger is solid. Muhammad was a pretty good pick in the 13th and Housh will be great...you're one WR away from a great team. I wouldn't make any moves yet, I would wait for a good week from one of those three weaker WR or RB and pair those and attempt to trade up.
JRWAGS99 0 Posted August 31, 2007 I like the Baltimore Defense Pick!!! WRs are a dime a dozen unless you have a top 10 which probably wasn't available at 5.6 Baltimore should be strong again this year.
Dungheap 0 Posted August 31, 2007 To echo what others have said, your wideouts are a bit weak. Having said that, there are always a few WR gems on the waiver wire that can turn your season around. The trick is finding them. I'd drop Daniels and pick up another WR, James Jones immediately comes to mind as a guy that is on the waiver wire but may produce good numbers. Otherwise you way want to make a trade. Thanks for getting mine.
UW72 0 Posted August 31, 2007 With the scoring for D you can prolly afford to have only one good WR. Do you have any flex positions and how many WR and RB did you start? Since you are solid at RB, you may can pack Jones or Norwood together with Henderson or Bruce to get a better #2 WR
oneinchgroups@100yds 0 Posted August 31, 2007 That's a nice team. You are lacking depth at wr, but I personally think henderson is going to a big year. If he does you should be in good shape. Ravens D will hopefully make up for this. Dont like mushin at all, didn't even think he should get drafted this year. Is there anything on the ww that you could pick up? Good luck
MWalsh26 0 Posted August 31, 2007 Yeah defenses don't score nearly well enough in this format to justify taking Baltimore in the 5th.
2Dumb2Live 0 Posted August 31, 2007 I'll have to agree with others...don't like the WRs much...I'm not as sold on Housh as some, and the rest just aren't reliable. I do think your RBs are pretty good though, so you may be able to get a midtier WR via trade after the first couple of weeks. You did manage to get a big 3 at least, Bulger, Addai, and Balt D....to me as long as you have three studs each week you're at least competitive, then you just need to get lucky with one of the other scrubs week to week to actually pull out the W's... kin-corn-karn 0 Posted August 31, 2007 MY TEAM (12 team league): QB: Bulger (3.6), Smith (12.7) RB: Addai (1.6), Jacobs (2.7), Jones (6.7), Norwood (7.6), Peterson/CHI (14.7) WR: Housch (4.7), Bruce (10.7), Henderson (11.6), Muhammad (13.6) TE: Cooley (9.6), Daniels (15.6) K: Nedney (16.7) D/ST: BALTIMORE!!! (5.6) Leave a link and I'll answer yours. Not bad... I picked 1st so drafted D pretty high overall too... I was made fun of because the Bears fell DEEP but all I had to go by was ADP, and didn't want a good D to slip. The importance of a top tier D seems to be quite underrated, as far as I'm concerned. Anyways, here's my team, pick 1 of a 12 teamer (WR/TE are combined): QB: Tony Romo (6.12), Alex Smith (10.12) RB: LaDanian Tomlinson (1.1), Brandon Jacobs (3.1), Warrick Dunn (9.1) WR: Reggie Wayne (2.12), T.J. Houshmandzadeh (4.12), Deion Branch (7.1), Mark Clayton (8.12) K: Robbie Gould (16.12) D/ST: Ravens D/ST (5.1) I left out some intermediate picks, but I like my chances overall. Super Cubs 154 Posted August 31, 2007 Your team looks solid. If your going to reach why not reach for the one of the best and thats what you did.
crosbye 0 Posted August 31, 2007 Bulger and Housh in 3 and 4th rounds seem like good gets. I would be standing at the ready though to pick up the best FA WR that is available after the new offenses settle in and some consistency is shown.
