Trade Question (Kitna/Deuce for Leinart/James)

I'd give up Leinart, Edgerrin James, Dominic Rhodes, and Ben Watson

I'm decently pleased with my team outside of QB. I wanted Kitna and he went the pick before me for a backup. Would Kitna be enough of an improvement over Leinart to warrant dropping James for Deuce or Lynch? I do also get Morency out of the deal assuring me the Green Bay starter between him and Jackson.

i'd take that first offer. if ariz has a bad game, you lose on two fronts if you are starting leinart and james.

 

kitna looks to be solid this year. deuce should do well and rhodes has a four game suspension so he's useless for a while.

 

morency and akers doesn't get you much - but i think you make out on this deal.

Well really the upgrade would be Kitna over Leinart. My QBs are really rough and while Kitna turns the ball over, he also throws all the time in that offense. I guess it's one of those things that I had locked in on Kitna on draft day as a QB that would fall and when he went the pick before me I haven't been able to shake that. I do think that James is better than Deuce, but there is the concern over having Leinart AND James starting.

I would probably make the trade, to be honest. But how is your other RB? Is he a stud? Morency may be nothing, or he may be something special so it makes that portion of the deal tough. Deuce is a beat, and although Bush is going to steal some red zone touches, he should be a good if not better make up for James. Why doesnt my league ever make trades? Seems fun. Anyway, good luck. I don't think I'd make the trade. Kitna will throw for a ton of yards, but I don't think Leinart will be that much of a dropoff in points per game. I'd also much rather have James than any of the RBs he's offering.

I'd say no. Kitna isn't enough of an upgrade over Leinart to give up Edge for McCallister. IMO Bush will be taking over this season in NO, they have to get him more involved, Duece is a guy that needs alot of carries to be effective, IMO.

 

 

Try to trade him straight up for Kitna if you like him alot, he is the guys back ( I think thats what you meant) so go Leinart and Rhodes (Rhodes was in both offers he made) for Kitna, see if that flies.
