I never thought I'd be asking this: Holt or Santonio Holmes?

Recommended Posts

Holt has admitted he's 70-80% healthy and his knee could be a nagging problem all year. Holmes is considered a breakout candidate by many. Holt is playing at home against the Panthers and Holmes is playing on the road against the Browns.

Which one would you start?

I think you stay with Holt...even at 80% he'll be great. Let's see if the Holmes hype pans out. I do like Holmes though, but more as a WR2 and wouldn't sit a stud for him, even a hobbled one, unless the stud was uncertain to play a particular game.

Thanks for mine.

As long as he is playing, i would always take Holt over Holmes. I think the Steelers will be playing ball control with FWP and Hines' they gotta catch up' Ward.

I think you got real balls considering Holmes. If you really think you have to swing for the fences against the lineup you face this week then go for it. Conservatively you stay with Holt for at least this first week. Thanks for the reply.

holt for sure, holmes wont be option 1 with ward at his side. also i see the steelers giving it to parker against the browns weak running def.

I'm going against the grain here, but I say you play Holmes. Holmes finished last year strong and as a 2006 Holt ff owner I can tell you that he most definately did not. It always felt like Steven Jackson was the #1 WR (at least in catches) and RB. Now there are even more options in STL this year with McMichael and Bennett. I say go with the rising star and see how well Torry does this week at 80%.

I agree that Holt's still probably the safer play this week, until you see how involved Holmes will really be and how good this supposedly new Pitt passing offense will be.

Thanks for seeing mine.
