How much is a good Def worth? Trade advice.

Recommended Posts

I have Gates so I don't need Shockey. Should I attempt to trade him for a good Def? I don't have a solid Def, I went with matchups so far and would rather have a solid D. I know Shockey could bring a decent position player so I'm wondering if it's worth it for a Def??

Play QB, 2-RB, 3-WR, TE, K, Def No PPR

Thanks

If your league is anything like mine, they will not give much for Shockey or any other TE that isn't named Gates. You can always try to deal him for a top D; however, I don't think anyone will bite.

Do you have any defenses in the WW that you could pick up?

Jacksonville/Green Bay are great solid Defenses.

But a TE will not net you much in terms of defenses, you would have to package your best DEF which is probably not good with your TE to get you something.

I was thinking about trading for Minn Def, not Balt or Chi. The guy who has Minn has Balt and needs TE help. I really like what I've seen of Minn Def so far. Houston Def is on WW though. Can't figure out what to do here.

I would see if you could trade for Minn defense or you could take a gamble and pick up Houston to see if they are for real. I wouldn't start Houston when they see Indy though, even though it's at home Peyton and Addai could slap 40 on them. If they hold Indy to 15-21 points, start playing them seriously.
