Am I screwing with my team to much

Recommended Posts

Start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DEF

Team before trades.....

Schaub, Green, Lienart

Rudi, Bush, Green, Julius, K. Watson

Owens, Fitz, Branch, VJax

Cooley

J. Reed

Bears D.

Trade 1

I have traded Julius Jones and Fitzgerald for.......Thomas Jones and Lee Evans

Trade 2

I am trading Deion Branch and Bears D for Torry Holt

Since I traded Fitz away I wanted to find another solid WR. I probably gave up to much for Holt but some quality D's left on the FA list.

After Trades....

Schaub, Green, ...dropping Lienart

Bush, Rudi, T.Jones, Green, Watson

Owens, Holt, Evans, VJax

Cooley

J. Reed

Will pick up Titans and KC D...Tampa and Colts also available

May do another potential trade..........

Trade Rudi/Watson/VJax for Harrison and Deangelo Willams

I would then be....

Green or Schaub

Bush, T.Jones.....Green, D. Williams

Owens, Holt, Harrison....Evans

Cooley

J. Reed

Titans..KC D

Wasnt sold on Reggie so thought moving JJ and Fitz for Thomas Jones and Lee Evans would work out. I know Evan will get more opportunities that JJ would have and feel Evans will turn it on.

Obviously QB is my weakest link. No one really has someone they would trade....

I would love your thoughs. Thanks for the help.

JJ has very little value unless things change or MBIII gets hurt. You lose some w/ Fitz but if TJones gets hot it's probably a wash. I would rather have fitz and JJ though.

Trade 2

I am trading Deion Branch and Bears D for Torry Holt

I wouldn't. Rams are struggling. Branch is Seahawks #1 and best wr. He'll be good enough. Bears D is a mess though.

Trade Rudi/Watson/VJax for Harrison and Deangelo Willams

NO wouldn't do this either. Rudi is too solid, he will rebound also.

YES, you should have traders remorse... patience is a virtue.

Thanks for the reply. Just concerned with Reggie. Made the trade for Thomas Jones more as an insurance policy should i give up on Reggie. I think Jones will come around. I do like Fitz better than Evans also, but thought the upgrade over JJ at RB warranted it. I think Evans will pull his head out soon. Rather I hope he does.

Yes, assuming that Evans gets going then you are better with Thomas Jones & Evans over JJ & Fitz. I do think Fitz will be better if Warner remains QB... he's a passer.

I like the fact you're willing to make changes to get better and if you think that Harrison's numbers will improve then go for him. I just think the Colts have too many weapons and Wayne is too good of a #2 wr to really be able to count on Harrison. Clark & Addai out of the backfield are pretty nice weapons also.

The owner of Harrison also has Steve Smith. Before the season started had offered me Smith for Rudi. I declined at the time. I doubt that offer will stand now.

I honestly think this scenario would leave your RB situation as your weakest link. However on a good weak I'm sure your WR's could easily make up for it. As for your QB situation trading would pretty much be out of the question because you no longer have much depth so I would look into QBs such as Gus, Griese, Warner and just hope that one of them can play better than their counterpart.

I like the first two trades, but I wouldn't give up Rudi.

This is a bold move, but since you start 3 WR in your league, I think I would go for it.

TO, Holt and Harrison. Those are 3 guys you can run out there every week, regardless of the matchup. Number don't lie--all of these guys consistently put up 10-12 scores every year. I like it when a guy like Harrison starts 'slow'. He did it last year too. Still wound up with his 10 TD's, which means the best is coming.

Trading Rudi is the big gamble--he always puts up 12 TD's per year too. I just traded McGahee for Bush as a gamble...but I think with Deuce out, Reggie is going to become Stephen Jackson. Getting lots of carries and passes....probably 25-30 touches per game now. You know he wants the load, and NO has to do something to get out of their funk--they're too good of a team to stay down for long. If you're Sean Payton, what do you do? You give the ball to your besy playmaker and let him make something happen. You get the ball to Marques Colston and Reggie Bush and find out if they're for real.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Reggie get a lot of 1 and 2 yard carries...and then rip off a 50 yarder. Not exactly consistent, but at the end of the day, I think Reggie is going to get yards and scores. He's not a novelty anymore...it's time for him to step up...and I think he will.
