QB Problems

Recommended Posts

I am 2-3 and attribute a lot of that to my 2nd round pick Drew Brees. Our scoring system, below, rewards QB heavily. In fact they score more points than any other position. We have a very limited roster 12 total players - 9 starters, 3 bench.

With that context, here is my question. Should I just drop Brees outright and grab either Warner (could be snagged first off of waivers though) or D. Anderson? I have the 5th spot for waivers tonight.

-OR-

Should I hold onto Brees and look to drop someone else to grab Warner or D. Anderson? If so, who should I drop?

Oh yeah, thus far, Brees has produced 36 total points. versus D. Anderson's 109 total pts.

QB (1): D. Brees

RB (2): S. Alexander, C. Portis, L. Jordan, D. Rhodes

WR (2): R. Wayne, C. Chambers, J. Cotchery

TE (1): H. Miller

K (1): Kasay

D (1): Ravens

14 team redraft league - no ppr.

6 pts all TDs, 1 pt per 25 pass yds, 1 pt per 10 rush yds, 1 pt per 20 rec yds

I really don't know that Warner or Anderson are upgrades over Brees for the long term. Colston was a little banged up last week... Plus, Brees has already had his bye. I would stick with him, but it's not an easy decision. Good luck

That is a tough one. I would probably pick up warner and still keep brees. What did you do during brees bye week, play no QB. I also only count 11 guys on your team, so it looks like you can pick him up outright. You may have left someone off your roster, but of those I would possibly drop Rhodes, he hasnt played yet and hasnt proven anything. With the Limited roster space their has to be opportunites to pick up other guys along the season, escpecially in the bye weeks. I would hate to get rid on brees for basically nothing. I am a brees owner he has been killing me too. I just recieved a great offer for him though and am consdiring taking it. warnr is involved also.

check it out

How many of Brees receivers are in the top 10 vs. Warner's?

As long as Warner stays healthy I'd go with him for the season.

thanks for answering mine.

Tough but I remember another time when Warner had 2 stud recievers and it seemed to work out well.....until his man wife shot her mouth off and found Jesus or something. I have Colston and I don't see things getting better so I would go with Warner

I think you drop Brees and take Anderson. Brees' problems will continue all year, I think his problem is his O-line which really doesn't look to improve anytime soon. I would take Anderson over Warner, because he has been performing rather well and should have a lot of favorable match-ups the rest of the year. Warner has never been the same since he broke his pinkie agains KC in 2000 (I think). He has looked good here and there but I don't expect it to continue; he can't beat anyone out for a starting job any more, he always gets it becasue someone else loses it, not because he is the best.
