Selvin or LenDale & Galloway or Evans?

Recommended Posts

Our league is a little different - our playoffs 1st rd starts this week and I need a win to advance. Playing a tough team with Peyton Manning and ADP, so I am nervous.

I was riding LenDale since the middle of the season til about 2 weeks ago. Now, with LenDale getting 30 carries last week I am wondering if he's back to workhorse status. But Selvin has been shredding defenses and he's an explosive runner who can take it to the house at any moment. Plus, he's playing in his home town of HOU tonight. Who's the better option?

As far as Galloway and Evans are concerned, both are deep threats but who's the better play?

Leave a link, please.

I like LenDale and Galloway based on matchups and game location. Everyone expects a shootout in Cleveland for the Bills but weather could play a huge part in that. I like Galloway at home. I like Lendale versus the Chiefs alot also. Good luck!

Young and Galloway

Young has been huge lately and should play well in his home town area.

Despite having a lousy overall defense, Cleveland has done pretty well shutting down the #1 WR of most of their opponents (including Randy Moss and Andre Johnson). It's the #2 WRs and TEs who kill them. They also get one of their starting CB's back this week. I'd go with Galloway.

Thanks for mine...

Young and Lendale, thats a tough call. Both have huge upside, but I would prob. go with Young, he has been looking nice.

Go with Golloway.

Thanks for talking me out of bailing on Big Ben. If I switched after starting him all year and he has a great game this week, I'd kick myself. I agree with White and Galloway on yours.

I would take Galloway over Evans just because of consistency. White and Young is a tough call. I have a similar pick to make. I would lean towards White because he is playing in KC and cannot stop the run lately. Also the weather looks like it might be iffy on Saturday in KC so could see more running plays.

please see my poll on young and willie parker.

Are we both assuming too much when we say that Young will get most of the carries? i live in Denver, and there has been no answer on who will receive the bulk of the carries.

I read this on CBS Sportsline - but you haven't heard this?

"The Denver Post reports that Selvin Young will get the majority of the carries the rest of the season for the Broncos as they look to the future of their running game. Travis Henry, who is still not 100 percent, will still get some touches, but likely only near the goal line.

(Updated 12/11/2007)."

This is according Rotowire:

Dec 11: Even though Young rushed for 156 yards in Week 14, head coach Mike Shanahan has not named him the Broncos' feature back for Week 15, the Denver Post reports.

Dec. 11 excerpt from Denver Post:

Shanahan, a longtime running back fanatic, likes a logjam of talent. Perhaps next year Young could be his full-time starter, but Shanahan isn't ready to proclaim that. For the rest of the 2007 season, Shanahan likes a three-pronged running

Denver Broncos back attack consisting of Young, Travis Henry and Andre Hall.

"You can never have too may backs," Shanahan said Monday with the Broncos (6-7) preparing to play a Thursday night game at Houston they need to win to keep their faint playoff pulse alive.

While lauding Young, who gained 156 yards on 17 carries against Kansas City in Denver's 41-7 victory on Sunday, Shanahan also defended Henry. Henry missed three games because of a partially torn posterior cruciate ligament, then struggled in Denver's past two games, when he gained only 73 yards on 25 carries.

While Young is garnering raves, Shanahan warned Monday not to throw in the towel on Henry. He was the leading rusher in the NFL through the first four games of the season before he was injured and distracted by a successful appeal of a drug-related suspension. He had three games in which he gained at least 128 yards.

So I dont know what to think

Shanahan drives FF players NUTS and I'm about to be put in a rubber room myself. Decisions, decisions.
