carmo911 2 Posted September 1, 2008 qbs - play the matchups week to week. but warner in week 1 against SF rbs - love barber but your #2 is a little week. not high on young or james, but hope that smith can break out WR - Awesome the strength of your team te - nothing but potential there...actually like miller better then davis please see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=321105
rehdjac 0 Posted September 1, 2008 I think Schaub and Warner are fine. Problem on your team is RB I think. Marion Barer is and always has been awesome. Dude runs like he's being chased by a pack of ###### vampires. Selvin might pan out, but it's Denver. Who knows? Unfortunately I don't see a lot of trade value on your roster. Watch the wire and be ready to snatch surprises up.
mrgymrat 0 Posted September 1, 2008 Ullloveit- QBs - Schaub is a steady (200+ yds / 2TDs per game) & Warner will have some big games while he is the starter so like someone else said, play the matchups and you'll be ok RB - MBIII is $$ so it makes it ok if your #2 RB is a RBBC. Selvin may come thru this year (I have him in many leagues) and if he can find the endzone he could score some solid pts w/ the Broncos run game. Good handcuff w/ Hall, in case Shanahan switches backs ) and Kevin Smith should see enough touches in DET to maybe be useful. WR - Homerun. Calvin is the best WR in DET and Reggie is the undisputed #1 man in Indy. When Holmes is your #3 WR, you know things are good. Plus all 3 starting WRs have different bye weeks so Crayton should be an adequate fill-in during bye weeks and Walter has received fair reviews from the different FF sources. TE - Not a big fan of Vernon Davis (too much unfulfilled potential) but if you don't have one of the top 4 TEs then they are all the same. Zach may actually be a better play if the Silver & Black can muster some more offense this year. Not much room for error but you have a well balanced team for having to pick from the 9 slot. despleyj 0 Posted September 1, 2008 thanks for seeing mine. I like your team alot, especially the upside of Vernon and Schaub. only concern i have, as others do is your 2 running back. i Realize your recievers are solid, but it seems like you went deep on qb and te, so i would have imagined you may have had a chance to grab a better 2 running back. i think you should still be a playoff team, but not a shoe in. Although, if selvin outperforms expectations you could be quite solid, if he doesn't you may want to work the waiver wire, or trade schaub or warner in the middle of the season as i see them both being better then expected. Foghorn Leghorn 0 Posted September 1, 2008 I would suggest that as long as Warner is the starter in Arizona, you start him (unless you have turnover penalties). Arizona naming him the starter basically amounts to you getting a #1 QB for free. The rest of your team looks solid too - you should be pleased.
