Was Offered Rivers For Desean Jackson

currently im 2-1

i had tom brady

so now my QB situation is not the best (trent edwards, delhomme)

 

it is a ppr league, and individual pr/kr td's count for the player and team defense

 

i got offered Phillip Rivers (leading my league in QB FF pts)

for Desean Jackson (flex player)

 

my other WRs are fitzgerald, welker, berrian, lloyd, henderson..

 

since desean is a flex i can also start a RB there (pierre thomas, deangelo williams, ahmad bradshaw)

 

should i do it or no?

 

i figure rivers + one of my other flex will outscore edwards +jackson almost every week

 

i dont think rivers will finish the year as #1 FF qb, but i think he is an upgrade and will have bigger games more often than edwards will

 

what do you guys think?

Geez...I like DeSean, but that's a great deal for you. Big upgrade over Delhomme, still a good upgrade over Edwards (though I think he'll be very good by year's end). Rivers has all the makings of a top-10 guy at the position; DeSean, while big with potential, is probably a top-30 WR at best. Lloyd and Berrian will fill in nicely for him when necessary.

I think its a no brainer. WR's are streaky , Rivers is a significant upgrade and will be consistent for you this year. Is it a keeper league ? If so may be nice to keep desean but i would still go with Rivers.

Dang, I'd take that without a second thought. Just wait til Curtis comes back -- DJ might not hold up his value, whereas you would get a top QB!
