manola 0 Posted October 9, 2008 Looking for a little advice here. I'm currently 5-0 in my league - 12 Teams PPR Dynasty League in our 8th season Although I'm 5-0 I'm always looking to improve for future years too. I've been offered the following: I give: forte, lynch, romo, and my 2009 2nd rounder in our Rookie Draft I Get: mcfadden, Cutler, and 2 First rounders in next year's rookie draft (one of the draft picks is from a team that's 0-5 the other is a middle-of-the-road team" My current Roster: Romo Jason Campbell MBIII Gore Lynch Forte Chris Johnson DeAngelo Williams Hightower Norwood Brandon Marshall Calvin Johnson Andre Johnson What would you do? Thanks for the help!
We Tigers 71 Posted October 9, 2008 Wowie...some major forward-thinking going on here. This advice comes from someone who's never had people stay together long enough for a dynasty league, so take it with a big chunk of sea salt. Frankly, I think your team from last year plus this year's rookies is pretty solid. Your team is already very young, so I don't see too much of a reason to try to get younger; at 4 seasons, Frank Gore is your oldest guy. Basically, you have so many RBs with insane futures ahead of them that I think you should look towards dealing some of them for receivers. Except you already have Calvin, Marshall, and AJ! Let these guys grow and enjoy the team you've cultivated for the next several seasons. I think Lynch and Forte may have more value next year when someone's rookies bust. If you have guys who've already established themselves as potential superstars in 5 weeks of professional play, do you really want to risk that your hot rookie pickup in 2009 will be that season's Ray Rice or Rashard Mendenhall?
