BarNinja 1 Posted October 15, 2008 I recently made a trade that has me a little unnerved but I think I came out on top. An owner in my league with zero quality WRs has been bugging me all season for Boldin. I finally relented when he threw out Addai and Buckhalter. I'm the only Westbrook owner in the world who didn't immediately grab Buckhalter and now I know how badly needed that handcuff is. So I took the trade. My problem is this. I have 4 pretty good RBs (Westy, Addai, Forte, CJ3). Which one should I try to put on the auction block and what would be reasonable returns? I'm leaning toward either Addai or Johnson. WRs I'm targeting (or at least have a decent shot at given other owner lineups, needs, etc) are: Colston, Fitzgerald, TO, Coles, S Moss, Holmes, Berrian, and Vincent Jackson. Who would be decent straight up matches? I also have a couple of untested but potentially good guys to throw into a package like Engram and Curtis.
alecoholics 0 Posted October 15, 2008 I think that if you can make a decent run at Fitzgerald you definitely should. The team has an excellent passing game, and will have to play the season out, which won't hurt you during the fantasy playoffs. Trying to unload Addai & a throw in I think would be a nice move. If Westbrook gets healthy, you have great depth at RB.
We Tigers 71 Posted October 15, 2008 I'd move anyone but Westbrook who could get you Fitz. If the guy will take Addai or Forte straight up, I'd make the move. Out of that list, I'd really only give up one of those backs straight up for Fitz or Colston. You could probably do something like Addai/Curtis for Fitz/Worthless RB. Ultimately, I think you could feel happy at that move, especially if you manage to do it for Addai. I probably wouldn't have done the Boldin deal myself, but if you deal Addai for Fitz or Colston, you can parse the deal out as basically trading Boldin for your new receiver + Westbrook's handcuff, which would be sound. only a guess 0 Posted October 15, 2008 Agree with the other that Fitz is a stud and get him as long as you trade one of your RBs ... and Westbrook if off limits. I'm not sure I would jump on Colston until I see him back and his targets. Of your list, I think V.Jackson is the worst ... a short term great start but not later in the season (as Chambers and Gates get healthy). Fitz is above-and-beyond all the other WRs you noted. You can probably get T.O. cheap because of the 3 recent news (Romo, Brad, Roy), but I wouldn't trade any RB except mabye Addai. mine - http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=328911
Wallyworld 0 Posted October 15, 2008 I'd try to trade one of the rookies before they hit the wall, especially forte who has been getting a ton of touches. I'd only be willing to accept Fitz (preferred), Colson, TO in that order. Thanks for mine.
