gram 0 Posted October 21, 2008 so i am up and down about this trade. going into the rest of the season which group of rbs would you rather have: group 1 thomas jones chris johnson steve slaton jonathan stewart hightower cedric benson or group 2 westbrook buckhalter slaton stewart hightower benson will answer yours
CiminoUM5 0 Posted October 21, 2008 PPR or no? If it's PPR, definitely group 2. If not, I think I still like 2. Even though Jones is obviously worth more than Buchhalter given a healthy Westbrook, I wouldn't really want to be starting him most weeks, and I like Slaton a lot better. CJ's a beast, but it still seems like White's going to continue to take some of his carries. You might be taking more of a chance with group 2 due to uncertainty with Westy's health, but I like Westy+Slaton better than CJ+Slaton, and Buckhalter's still a good play if Westbrook misses more time. so i am up and down about this trade. going into the rest of the season which group of rbs would you rather have: group 1 thomas jones chris johnson steve slaton jonathan stewart hightower cedric benson or group 2 westbrook buckhalter slaton stewart hightower benson will answer yours
Philaliscous 0 Posted October 21, 2008 Group 2 has a lot more potential with Westy hopefully coming back to his stud form. Although Thomas Jones has been playing out of his mind as late I do not think he is as good as he has been playing lately which is making me lean toward group 2. ben4uf 0 Posted October 21, 2008 so someone is offering you westy/buckhalter for CJ and TJ? I'd probably prefer group 2, assuming you start 2 RBs. As mentioned if its PPR then definitely group2.

dalie 2 Posted October 21, 2008 Group 2, I like the Westy/Buck combo for stability......if one doesn't start, the other should still do well Thanks for mine
Mossome84 0 Posted October 21, 2008 Group 2 is the better option.
G-String 0 Posted October 21, 2008 A. But you should drop Buckhalter now
Wallyworld 0 Posted October 21, 2008 I'd go with group 2. Westbrook should be ok after a few weeks. Thanks for mine. Sorry for getting back to you late.
LandenChase 0 Posted October 21, 2008 Group 2, especially in PPR
btbpitt71 1 Posted October 21, 2008 group 2 definitely
theback37 0 Posted October 21, 2008 Group 2 west comes back form his bye! So he had time to heal .
ProfessorP 0 Posted October 21, 2008 Gotta agree group 2 is stronger. Because of the balance you probably won't need both Philly rbs, so use bucky NOW to trade for any area you're week. If you are strong all over, keep it (group 2) as is.
theFozz 0 Posted October 21, 2008 Am I the only one who sees this the other way?!? You may have a tough decision to make each week with Group 1, but trading to make your decision easier is only helping the team that you are trading with. Having to choose between more RBs seems better to me than having to choose between a shorter list. And we all know that Buckhalter/Westbrook is essentially one player - you won't play both. Between, CJ, Slaton, TJ, and JStewart, you have 4 decent options from which you can choose 2. IF Westbrook is healthy, you then pick your second from Slaton, JStewart, & Hightower... and Benson. And we assume that if the ball is going to Buckhalter, you're probably, but not definitely, starting him. Remember - Westbrook broke two ribs! The man hasn't healed in two weeks, I promise. Call me crazy, but I'd rather have the tougher decision with healthier players, leaving you with more depth, and KEEPING that depth from landing in your opponent's hands. ESPECIALLY if you have a flex spot, but even without. Just my two cents.
Beef Ravioli 0 Posted October 21, 2008 Sorry about my tardiness - thanks for your response to mine! I wish I could add something more to what has already been stated a number of times, but as long as Westy comes back to original form, you want to have him on your team. Chris Johnson just seems a little on the small side, and I think you will see more of Lenwhale as the season progresses.
ackattack 0 Posted October 21, 2008 well this may not be the answer your looking for but....I think both groups are good. I think you realize this as well....what it comes down to is a line up that is easier to set each week without regretting someone on your bench going off.....but I think you will have an easier time setting your line up each week with group 2. But they both are good groups of backs. I guess also group 2 removes the chris johnson and Lenwhale problem as well....Which group has the best playoff matchups? gram 0 Posted October 21, 2008 thanks guys!! a lot of good advice...i was just about to do it until attack asked about the matchups. westbrook's matchups for the rest of the season are absolutely horrible for the rest of the season...including the playoffs here are our playoff: westy: nyg and cle cj:cle and houston tj: sf and buf man i like chris johnson playoff schedule. the one question is...does strength in schedule effect westbrook? any more thoughts...i will probably put this last question by its self. thanks again for all your help.
