Cassel or Warner? Will Help You....

Recommended Posts

I've ridden Warner all year, but do i dare go with Cassel in the finals? They play each other and the weather is expected to be crappy. My thinking is that Cassel has more upside AND downside, while Warner is going to sling it 40 times regardless and should put up 300 1TD minimum, which is decent. I like my matchups for the rest of my lineup, but can't shake the temptation. Thoughts?

My lineup

QB - Warner OR Cassel

RB - Grant @ CHC

RB - SMorris vs. AZ

FLEX - KSmith vs. NO

WR - Marshall vs. Buff

WR - Welker vs. AZ

WR - RWhite @ Minny

K - Bironas

DEF - Balt @ DAL

This is a tough one, for obvious reasons. However, the saying is, never sit your studs in the playoffs. Thinking back to my first championship win (in 99), my opponent was playing Warner, and he got pulled because of the whole "already in the playoffs" theory. Since Arizona locked it up, I wouldn't be surprised if Warner didn't play but 1/2 a game. I hate that, but it could happen.

I've never liked Cassel (but that's because I drafted Brady this year); but I'd have to lean on him this game. They've got a lot riding on it. (ALSO, doesn't Arizona play in a dome? Back in the St. Louis era, that was the big discussion on Warner not being able to play outdoors as well. That and the whole artificial turf thing; but I'm not up to speed on NE's facilities....)

Cassel it is! Now go out and make us proud!

I've rode the Cassel train most of the year........ even though I have Romo on my team. It's worked thus far and I'm sticking with him this week.
