#3 pick in PPR...should I trade 1.3 and 4.10 for 2.12 and 3.1?

I have the #3 overall pick in my PPR league. 12 teams. QB, RB, WR, WR, RB/WR, TE, K, D (high premium on WRs). 4 pt passing TDs. Assuming MJD doesn't fall to me, I'm thinking of dealing my 1st and 4th round picks for a 2nd and 3rd. I like the value there.

 

I'm looking for one of the following combos if I do the trade:

 

elite QB + 3 WR (Brees or Brady plus Jennings, Roddy and Welker, for example)

solid RB + 3 WR (Barber, Portis or Jacobs plus the receivers mentioned).

 

or, if I stay where I am:

 

Forte, Jennings, Welker (problem here is that I will be starting the RB/WR I take at 4.10...would rather go with a Welker/Colston type)...or I can take Fitz and 2 WRs.

 

Doing the trade would mean someone like Addai/D Ward/Lynch would be my #1. But I'd have an advantage at QB. The safe play is to probably stay and take Forte, I think. Thoughts?

If you did the deal, I wouldn't target a QB, not this year, especially since they only get 4pts. per TD, definately makes them not as valuable.

 

I like the idea of the trade though for value and good starters especially since you only need to start 1RB and can start up to 3 WRs.

I would try to get more from him since you are moving out of the first round,FYI, I got him to also swap 5th round picks giving me 5.01.

I would stay put and grab Forte. He's going to be a monster in PPR leagues this year IMO.

 

If you're really not sold on him, take the trade and go RB/WR/WR/WR or RB/WR/WR/QB. Taking a QB that high doesn't make sense at 4 pts. per passing TD. RB's and WR's are way more valuable especially in a PPR league. You're in a good spot regardless.

Forte. Or if you trade definitely get more out of him. thats not enough IMO
