TheRajah 0 Posted August 19, 2010 Hey guys, I am playing in a keeper league(can keep 4 players and lose the draft pick). I won the league last year with a great team, hence i draft last in a 12 team serpentine draft. Time to decide on keepers and here are my options 1)Sjax (loose round 1 pick i.e 12 overall) 2)Ray Rice (loose round 2 pick i.e 12 overall) 3)Beanie Wells (loose round 5 pick i.e 60th overall) 4)Benson (loose 10th round pick) 5)Miles Austin(loose 11th round pick) 6)Schaub (loose 12th round pick) I could keep the lower round picks + Ray Rice thus giving me some options to pick in round 1 and 3. But If i anaylze the players that are available (since others are keeping too), they are 1) AP 2) Brees 3) Brady 4) Moss 5) Fitz 6) Ryan Matthews 7) Javhid Best 8) Moreno 9) Grant 10) Cutler 11) Jennings Greg 12) Colston 13) Spiller So.. the value players decline quickly. I will be picking 7th overall if i drop Sjax and he might be available too. I am thinking of keeping Ray Rice, Beanie Wells, Benson and Austin. I might pick up Sjax as my first pick again if available. Other option i am thinking is trade Shaub + Benson for 3rd overall. So i can pick Randy Moss or Fitz.. and then keep Sjax, Rice, Austin and Beanie. I will have to come back to get cutler in 3rd round. This is a PPR. What do you guys think. I will answer all your queries too. Thanks, TheRajah
Football Fan 20 2 Posted August 20, 2010 Not knowing what the rest of your team looks like I think I go with Rice, Wells, Schaub, and Austin. Just seems like Ausin and Schaub are both steals for that low of a draft pick. I kind of believe like you that you should see what you can get with first round pick and worst case scenario you get S Jax back. Good luck and thanks for mine. I think you are on the right track with these four. I would hope for something like Brees, Brady, Mathews or Grant for the 7th pick. Depending on how many RBs you can start. If 6 point passing TDs I would really want Brees or Brady there. Doubt Brees would make it though. ETA: I like RBs on better offenses is why I like Grant and Mathews a bit better than the others you listed.
whiskey87 0 Posted August 23, 2010 Miles and Schaub are must grab for losing picks outside the top 10 Rice is a must. After that I don't care for Benson all that much, they might be relying on Wells pretty heavy with no Kurt... If I had to choose, I pass on Jackson and keep Benson, he's got the starting job and the pick you give up is just fine for that. Good Luck
