Pavlov 0 Posted September 15, 2010 Leave a link and I'll see yours. PPR league, QB TD's count for 6. QB, RB x2, WR x2, Flex, TE, K, DEF QB: A. Rogers, B. Roethlisberger RB: R. Rice, J. Charles, A. Foster, A. Bradshaw, B. Jackson (just got him off waivers) WR: M. Autin, H. Nicks, D. Aromashodu, P. Garcon TE: A. Gates K: L. Tynes (like you care) DEF: BAL Rice is a gimme, and I'm obviously curious/hopeful to see what Foster can do after week 1. I'm a little worried about Charles' touches, Jackson in general (although he's vs. BUF--that could be really sweet), and Indy's weakness vs big backs might mean Jacobs gets more carries than normal. Thoughts?
killersquids 3 Posted September 15, 2010 Rice AND foster are no-brainers. It would be helpful to post who all their matchups are against, but I would actually lean towards jackson. He has a great matchup at home and he will see 20+ touches guaranteed in a great offense.
Pavlov 0 Posted September 15, 2010 Bradshaw vs. Indy (not a great run defense, but Indy's real weakness is big, physical backs and Bradshaw isn't the biggest back on the roster) Jackson vs. Buffalo (terrible team, terrible run D, Packers will be running out the clock by the second quarter. Totally unknown as a player) Charles vs Cleveland (pedestrian run D, Charles will lose touches to Jones for reasons no one really can explain).
nprice1776 0 Posted September 15, 2010 I would go with B. Jackson vs BUF
Lamb of God 15 Posted September 15, 2010 Your lineup is awesome and if your rb's weren't so good I'd say Jackson would be a no brainer. I'd go Rice and Foster, Austin and Nicks and Charles as your flex. Reason being they play Clev. and this guy hits home runs from all over the field and Haley is a complete moron if he doesn't start giving this guy more touches. Jackson has a good matchup but you don't need to play him really cuz your other 3 are so good. See what he does this week and go from there. mine please http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370282#entry4304657
minnickman 0 Posted September 15, 2010 I wouldnt start jackson I could very well be wrong but he wasnt good enough to start and you have four other first week starters. Bradshaw is the guy in NY he's getting the goaline touches and producing which was Jacobs problem short yardage. Charles goes up against Cleveland last week he had 100 total yrds on 12 touches (i think his yardage was actually a little more) and he has the homerun speed to take it from 80 cant say that about either jackson or bradshaw. Definatly Rice. Foster how can you not start him, thats right he's playing Washington who only gave up 100 yrds to a good dallas rushing attack also i have a feeling he will start to once again put it on the turf in crucial situations like he did his entire career at Tenn. I like rice, charles and bradshaw, but then again if i knew what i was talking about i'd be getting paid to do this
SteelersGoBraugh 0 Posted September 15, 2010 Thanks for answering mine! I'd roll with Rice, Foster, Bradshaw, Charles and Collie.
mike82 0 Posted September 15, 2010 thanks for answering mine, I wasted a second rounder on slaton last year too (still wound up winning my league though). Id go with rice & foster at rb, austin & nicks at wr, and then id go with charles in the flex. its tempting to go with jackson against buffalo, but Id give him at least one week to see what he can do as a starter. the_future420 3 Posted September 15, 2010 Your team is solid as heck and you are a Bradshaw/Jackson/Charles and Nicks for upgrade at WR (Fitz or AJ) away from a championship. Jesus how did u get that squad?

Did I mention this is a money league? Rounds 1-4 were pretty predictable (Rice, Rogers, Austin, Gates), but I went heavy upside in subsequent rounds and I'm pretty happy with the results. Waiting to see what sort of game Jackson has, and then I'm targeting the Shonn Green owner for a trade, since he also has Fitz and White at WR.
