hazzmos 0 Posted September 17, 2010 Start 2RBs, 2WRs, 1 flex, .5ppr and I'd be trading away Mathews/Addai/Dez. Basically ends up being Mathews for Best and Addai/Dez for Randy Moss in my mind. I just didn't like what I saw from SD in regards to Mathews role as a 2 down back(also not in 2 minute drill or when behind), where as I feel Best is going to play all 3 downs on a team that will be behind throwing/checking down/running draws quite a bit. I know Mathews will get a lot of carries, but I just wasn't convinced he's going to get as many total opportunities as Best, throw in the .5ppr, and I think Best's upside is much higher than Mathews, and his downside IMO is mainly injury. My lineup before: WR1:Miles Austin WR2:Santana Moss RB1:Mathews RB2:Brandon Jackson Flex:Addai Dez Portis Jacobs Mike Wallace After trade: WR1:Miles WR2:Randy Moss RB1:Best RB2:BJax Flex:Santana Moss Portis Jacobs Wallace
ziggyschiefs 0 Posted September 17, 2010 i don't think i like it enough to do the trade. Addai is the only back being used right now in Indy and theyr'e gonna run him into the ground before releasing him so there's a high rep back as well as Mathews being #1 in SD. in essence you're losing 2 starting RBs for one RB behhind a suspect O-line. yes, he is a starting RB with no real competitions but he onl yput up 30 yards last week! if not for the TDs it would have been a dismal week. Moss is a nice prize but i'm not sold on him having another big year, especially the way he's been running his mouth. Dez seems like a real part of the offense in Dallas and i just think your'e giving up too much overall. anyway, good luck, either way it goes for you. please see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370560
badassbroncs 0 Posted September 17, 2010 No way, I wouldnt do the deal! I like Mathews over Best and you will be okay with your wrs this year, they will perform fine and I think Moss is going to drop in production some this year.
ChiTownKev 0 Posted September 17, 2010 I'd stay put. Moss would be nice, but I think you're overvaluing Best. Sure he had the two TDs last week, but 14 attempts for only 20 yards is not so good. I think Matthews will be good this year. And I'd much rather have Addai at flex than S. Moss. Plus, you never know what could happen with Dez. Your current team would be more stable. hazzmos 0 Posted September 17, 2010 Thanks for the good advice all. I ended up not doing the trade for now, I'll see how this week goes, and maybe Mathews will get some 3rd down touches!
