Joscellin 0 Posted September 25, 2010 So I started out 0-2 on the back of some terrible decisions at WR (I played both Meachem and Harvin in week 1, go me) and an underperforming Ray Rice + Shonn Greene. This week I'm up against the 2-0 lead in the division. Going to be a really long climb back up the standings if I spot him a 6 game lead after three games.... so! Standard Scoring (6pt passing TDs), 12 team non-PPR league. 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, RB/WR Flex, TE, D, K. **denotes my tentative starters QB: Brady**, Vick (Yes I have been trying to shop Vick around since the starter news came out, no bites yet) RB: Rice**, Tolbert**, Greene, Forsett WR: S Moss**, Nicks**, D Thomas, Harvin FLEX: M Clayton** TE: D Clark** Eagles D Kaeding I think I have this lined up pretty much as it needs to be for me, but my biggest two questions are: 1.) Brady vs Buffalo OR Vick vs Jax? Brady's craptastic Buffalo game last year haunts my mind, but he is playing at home and should be looking for blood after that 2nd half against the Jets. The possibility of the Pats getting up early and then just handing it off scares me a bit, though. On the other hand, Vick has the potential to absolutely explode against Jax.... but the potential of Andy Reid deciding to put Kolb out there once the Eagles are winning also scares me. I'm thinking that I have to play this safe and just go with the guy I drafted here. 2.) The flex: Clayton, Greene, or Thomas? (corrolary: Is Nicks the right start too?) Clayton seems the sure thing for points bet here, but Thomas's upside seems gigantic in this game, especially if Orton is having to air it out to play catchup. Moreno being out seems to increase the odds of this as well. Greene seems to need to ride the pine in this one. What worries me is that if Thomas disappears, I really can't afford any roster spot not producing this week. Thanks for the time. Leave yours and I'll get to it ASAP. I think you have to roll with Brady; the rest of your lineup is correct. Both he and Vick will score well, though. See mine
Scooter1027 0 Posted September 25, 2010 Hard to sit an early pick like Greene for the likes of Tolbert, but I think it's the right move for now. Vick is a tempting play, but I feel like Brady is a much safer bet while still carrying big game upside. I think Clayton is the right play at the Flex, but Thomas presents a great deal of upside in what should in a game that should involve a lot of passing. How good is this 2-0 team? If you think you're going to need to score a whole bunch of points to win, it might be work taking a shot with Thomas.
TV's Frank 0 Posted September 25, 2010 Another vote for Brady and Clayton. Thomas is tempting, but I think you've gotta see a couple more games before you can count on him.

The team I'm up against is: Romo* Gore*, McFadden* Wayne*, Smith (Car), Welker* Shiancoe* Hartley Cowboys Big game potential out of Romo, both RBs, Wayne, and Welker... so yeah it could get ugly. Mostly hoping that Brady's TDs come through Moss and Hernandez and not Welker. Amusingly, CBS projections have me in the lead, but that is assuming a big game out of Rice. Really need him to show up. I'm glad to see that most people agree with me on the Brady and Clayton picks so far. Thanks! Any other input is still very welcome.
j0ker 3 Posted September 26, 2010 Go Brady and Clayton. I want to see how good Thomas will be when people are expecting it this time. He came out of nowhere when all the coverage was on Royal and put up a monster game. Thanks for mine!
