gentry200meters 0 Posted October 23, 2010 I'm 2-4 in my second money league and desperate to string together a few wins. I like my roster, but I obviously need to make some moves. If you can offer any assistance, I'd be more than grateful. My roster: Starters: QB Big Ben RB Frank Gore Flex Jamaal Charles WR Roddy White WR Hakeem Nicks TE Heath Miller K Ryan Longwell D/ST Rams Bench: QB Eli Manning RB Beanie Wells RB Jonathon Stewart RB Benjarvus Green-Ellis WR Mike Wallace WR Mike Williams (TB) First of all, I'm going to drop a TE. Since Big Ben is back and the bye week covered, I'm leaning towards Miller. I don't see Celek's production being that much better than Miller's going forward anyway. Of the available players on the wire, I've narrowed them to the following: Santonio Holmes Donald Brown Danario Alexander Mike Sims-Walker I don't think Holmes belongs on the wire. However, I don't see him helping me much with the exception of Week 8 (Nicks & Roddy on bye). Brown is interesting with the Addai injury. If he misses much time, Brown could be a solid RB2 if he stays healthy. With that said, I can't decide what move to make. I'm definitely going to drop a TE. Who do I replace him with? Or, do I need to drop more than a TE to get them both Brown and Holmes? I realize Stewart and Wells haven't put up any numbers so far, but that could change in the blink of an eye. Green-Ellis is a mystery, and I can't imagine ever inserting him in my lineup with confidence. Again, I appreciate any and all help I can get. My season isn't lost yet, but it will be if I can't make a move soon.
mike06 0 Posted October 24, 2010 This is one of the most confusing threads ive seen, I am not sure what youre even asking. Do you even own celek? Since I dont know what youre asking I will pick 1 of those 4 players. I dont like alexander or MSW, and I would go with D.Brown over S. Holmes given how solid your WRs are
booncetats 0 Posted October 24, 2010 I'm not sure how your team is 2-4... I agree with the previous post. Brown is most likely to aid you. Unless you want to pick up Holmes until you get past your WR bye's. But I think you'd get more from Brown and that high powered offense. My link
Boilermaker04 11 Posted October 24, 2010 Why do you need to make moves? You have good players starting and on your bench. I have a feeling you are not making good matchup decisions. Also, take Holmes off the WW, FFS he does not belong there. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=374682
Candygram4Mongo 8 Posted October 24, 2010 This is one of the most confusing threads ive seen No. I've seen far more confusing ones. Your line-up doesn't look bad. I imagine Eli's up and own season hasn't helped. Ben being back should help. I'd cut Stewart or Wells for Santonio. If you have room for both Miller and Celek, I'd hold both for now. There's still lots of season left to play... It would leave you thinner at RB, but the chances of either of those guys becoming difference makers is practically nil. You'd then be pretty stacked at WR, and you could swing a trade for someone hurting at WR. Maybe package Charles and a WR for true RB1 to complement Gore. see mine
