Bills04 56 Posted December 15, 2012 I've been rolling with HOU DEF this season. Except for three weeks - they've been solid. Thing is, the three weeks they've done poorly, has been against teams with strong passing attacks, that have multiple options of where to go with the ball. IND fits that mold... I was lucky, and grabbed DET DEF on the WW. They have a DREAM matchup, against an AWFUL ARI offense - but it is on the road. I'm always leery about playing DEFs on the road - but after seeing what SEA DEF did against ARI last week, I think DET DEF is worth the risk. Thoughts? I currently have DET DEF starting. steppdaddy 0 Posted December 15, 2012 I have been pondering the same thing. DET is sitting on my waiver wire and I have Houston. I'm sticking with Houston because they do have big point possibility while DET doesn't.....even with playing the pathetic cards. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=414849

Guess which team had more S/T and DEF TDs in 2011? DET did - they had 5 INT return TDs, to HOU's 1.
Madler 6 Posted December 15, 2012 go with the Houston. They got you there and they are home and angry. Remember Luck is up there in ints. e See mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=414898
Bills04 56 Posted December 15, 2012 Hmmmm #2: I just saw that Indy's starting ORT and CTR are both OUT. HOU could have a big sack day vs. Indy.
loki12 0 Posted December 15, 2012 Don't see why Detroit 2011 stats matter here. They are tempting to start this week, but they are not a big playmaking team. They are bottom 3 in my league, and that tells me zona is more likely to step up than det is. But of course, it's a crapshoot. They could go off this week. I'd I had hou though, I'd start them

phillyjinx 21 Posted December 16, 2012 I say go with who got you there. Luck is usually good for a pick or two.. Maybe one goes to the house. Detroit has been garbage all year and this is set up for a trap game IMO. ZOna has to show sme pride after that embarresment.see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=414922
Bills04 56 Posted December 16, 2012 I just switched out my DEF, going back to HOU. I've seen some DET games this year, and they always seem to find a way to lose... They're away (and 2-5 in away games in 2012) this week, and you'd think that ARI has a conservative, player-strength game plan for this week, after getting shellacked last week in SEA. HOU plays Indy again in a couple of weeks, and could play them a third time in the playoffs. HOU will likely want to "set the tone" in this first matchup, which is at home for them. So - I'll go with "who got me here" / into the FF semifinals.
