  1. Saints isn’t a liberal. I know you want to think your arguments here are part of the great divide between conservatives and liberals, but they’re not. They’re between reasonable people of all political persuasions, and people who think like you do.

  5. You should realize that, currently, the American people do not feel this way. And that they have major buyers remorse. I do not believe the economy is doing well. In fact I would argue that it is doing far worse than it would have under Kamala Harris. My reasoning is fairly simple: Biden inherited a huge economic mess caused by Covid and Trump’s mismanagement of Covid. Biden responded by emergency spending. That made everything better but also inevitably triggered inflation. Biden fought the inflation by further investment in key industries and infrastructure. That worked but too slowly for Kamala to win. Trump then took over a recovered economy in 2025 with inflation slowing. All he had to do was leave things well enough alone. Instead he clamped down on necessary spending, raised ridiculous tariffs all over the planet, and severely hurt our labor system through his draconic immigration and ICE policies. His Big Beautful Bill made healthcare too expensive for millions of Americans. And now this new war may jack up gas prices, the one area where Trump was somewhat successful in lowering. So I think your assertions in this thread are completely wrong.

  6. Well the economy would be better with lower prices and more jobs. Renee Good and Alex Pretti would still be alive. We wouldn't be stuck in another forever war. The men that abused the girls in the Epstein scandal would be exposed. More Americans would have healthcare. Sounds like utopia compared to what we're in now.

  7. New York Times is reporting that Trump’s advisors considered the possibility that Iran might block the Strait of Hormuz- and COMPLETELY DISCOUNTED it!! And now Trump is reportedly panicking- he has tried threatening Iran further, told oil companies to “tough it out”, talked about possibly escorting them, but really has no idea what to do. This is going to seem crazy to some of the folks here but in my judgement, at the current time, Iran is winning this war.

  9. well, there you go. I just took serious offense when Saints declared as fact that Trump defied the constitution in this matter. It was HIS enlightened opinion and no more & nothing to back it up regardless of the junk he thereafter posted. Our "fact man", Saints in this thread is solely driven by his hatred for Trump. I have no problem with that as an opinion, but not facts as he so cleverly tries to insinuate.

  11. I voted for Trump 3x, I still think he was a better choice than Harris but I’m not afraid to call out things I disagree with. Some recent things I’ve posted support for him on: -thanking him for demoting Bovino, even Trump knew Minnesota’s DHS operation was out of control -defending him when he posted the video of the Obamas as apes, saying I didn’t think he did it intentionally -saying I don’t think he’s a pedo

  18. Looking at the threads started in this forum it's the MAGA crowd that is ranting constantly and starting threads about trannies, illegal aliens, Muslims and Black folks (i.e. Guess Dey Color). If you folks are happier than liberals I have yet to see it and I seriously doubt that studies actually say that liberals are "more miserable people" (probably, as often the case, a false conclusion drawn from the data).

  20. One thing I am really enjoying about this draft so far is that each of us has a different interpretation of the 80s. If you grew up in the heartland, mainstream might look different than if you grew up in a large city or suburban area. I would want all of our playlists to look pretty different. Some, like Voltaire, are putting together a playlist with some metal in it. Others are using songs that were alternative at best for me as a teenager in North Louisiana. Whatever the case, the 80s meant something different to each of us and I like that Biff is extending the freedom to recognize that. I am just drafting songs that feel like defining songs for me and I consider to be 80s staples.

  21. You guys put racial identity politics at the center of your agenda with all the DEI and affirmative action sh*t, where everything is viewed through a racial lens, whereas conservatives treat everyone of every skin color the same. When you speak to black audiences, you treat them like retards and pets whereas conservatives treat them as adults and equals, and that's your own research telling you that. Gavin Newsom did that recently when he assured black audiences that he is just as stupid as they are. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2018/11/30/white-liberals-dumb-themselves-down-when-they-speak-black-people-new-study-contends/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.3662e425486b Note how both the dingdong reporter and researcher both are brainwashed liberal racists convinced blacks are stoopid, so of course you have to treat them like retards. Then they try to mask the results by pretending that we don't care if we're understood or no. No. The truth is we want to be understood, we just respect blacks and treat them and everybody else the same. And then there's the math is racist, showing up on time is racist, the whole country is structurally racists and all the other excuses the left makes for their obvious lowering of expectations for black people with DEI, affirmative action. Since liberals have concluded that blacks are too stoopid to qualify, they figure they'll just lower the standards to make it easier for them.

  23. No much sooner. As soon as the Democrats take control. And before you ask why didn’t they act on it when Biden was in charge it’s because they’re hypocrites and cowards and corrupt and trying to protect their own. But now they have the public on their side and they think Trump did something really wrong (and they’re probably right about that) so they’re willing to let it all explode. And it will.

  24. Israel dragged Trump into this. Anyone complicit with Bibi and Trump can fock all the way off, including Fetterman. Anyone who claims, or claimed, to be "America First" and still supports Trump is a total sucker. Even Marjorie Greene had enough, which should tell any of the MAGA rubes something.

  26. MAGA, you fkd up. America is worse off by all metrics since Trump took office. Being extremely dumb and gullible, you ruined the country so Trump and his small circle (that you aren't a part of) could benefit. And because MAGA is dumb, they don't even realize it, instead they wave pom-poms like a bunch of simps for billionaires, and blame Democrats. So stupid.

That tickles mightily and always derails one's train of thought for a few minutes and then getting back on track may take some time. Also, what has been discussed and planned for and what has been shared with us and congress are almost certainly two seperate things.

  35. Rosters have been fully loaded. If you go to the player pool, you should now only see available guys for the supplemental. If you want to see your roster, you can sort the player pool to "All Taken Players" on the status drop down and yourself on the fantasy teams drop down -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will get the Supp draft order done with a screen record either today or tomorrow. I will be in Atlantic City sunday and monday. You guys just chime in on when you want to start the Supp. Are we looking at Monday?

  36. Back to an actual discussion of the war. I have been trying to listen to military experts on a variety of networks. Here is our biggest problem at the moment according to them: we cannot keep our promise to keep the Strait of Hormuz open. The main reason is drone technology. So long as Iran retains the ability to send drones into the strait, commercial shipping won’t take the risk to go in there. They won’t do it despite Trump’s promise to protect them and even offer insurance. Who can blame them? Nobody believes we can eliminate Iran’s ability to send drones without actually invading Iran. But we aren’t willing to do that. What we CAN do is simply keep bombing and hopefully make life so miserable for the Iranians that they will surrender. This is why, this morning, Trump called for “unconditional surrender.” But Iran also knows that if they can hold out eventually the Strait closure, which has always been their biggest weapon against us and the world, may force Trump to call this off. So this is where we are. It could go either way.

  38. C - Dillon Dingler 1B - Spencer Torkelson 2B - Gleyber Torres SS - Javier Baez, Kevin McGonigle 3B - Eugenio Suarez, Isaac Paredes OF - Riley Greene, Kerry Carpenter, Wenceel Perez UTI - Zach McKinstry SP - Tarik Skubal, Framber Valdez, Casey Mize, Jack Flaherty, Eduardo Rodriguez, Max Scherzer, Michael Lorenzen, Chris Paddack, Tyler Alexander RP - Kenley Jansen, Kyle Finnigan, Will Vest, Gregory Soto, Drew Anderson, Mason Englert I will probably regret swinging for the fences and taking Flaherty in the hopes that either Boyd or Ray would get past the Jays. In the end, unless Kevin McGonigle puts up rookie Mike Trout/A-Rod type numbers or I land the #1 pick in the supplemental, this is probably a 9th-10th place team.

Thanks to Arte, I'm now poaching everyone's 3rd & 4th round picks in the 1st round. I'm extremely thin on my infielders, so that's probably where I need to look in the supp draft. Neto needs to stay healthy. It is nice to have a backup catcher this year. I think that ended up being an empty spot late last year due to injury. My OF's should be solid with ok depth. Thin on starting pitchers as I missed out on Kikuchi, Lopez and Rodriguez. Hoping Giolito signs soon...rumor mill says Phillies. Relief pitchers should be competitive against the league. Predicted Finish: 11th place

  40. C - Carson Kelly, Kyle Higashioka 1B - Jake Burger 2B - Josh Smith, Ezequiel Duran, Isiah Kiner-Falefa 3B - Josh Jung (or IKF) SS - Corey Seager OF - Wyatt Langford, Brandon Nimmo, Evan Carter, Adolis Garcia, Andrew McCutchen, Sam Haggarty UT - Joc Pederson SP - Jacob DeGrom, Merrill Kelly, Jack Leiter, Tyler Mahle, Justin Springs, (likely whoever wins TEX SP5) RP - Robert Garcia, Pete Fairbanks, Dennis Santana, Shawn Armstrong, Jakob Junis IL - Jordan Montgomery Holy hell, first off, how do you guys have so many starting pitchers? I'm happy with my top three if they can stay healthy, but I have no depth. I'm two shoulders away from not making my minimum IP any given week. I knew that DeGrom/Ragans/Eovaldi would all be first round choices, so I'm happy that I got one of them, but I was hoping for MacKenzie Gore to last a little longer. I just don't have a lot of draftable options when it comes to starting pitchers after the top few are gone. I feel pretty good about my relieving corps, whether it be saves or holds, I should be competitive (but not dominant) any given week. Lineup? Well I have a catcher, so that's a good thing. Two below average options should at least get me some at bats. I also have a first baseman, but not anything to write home about. Second base is more of the same depending on whoever TEX sends out there, and I don't have a lot of faith in Jung at third, so through my first four positions, I've got someone ranked around 25-30 at their respective positions...out of 30 MLB teams, that's going to be rough. Seager is still a solid SS but aging, and his AVG and SLG numbers have really dipped each year for the last three seasons, and don't expect an improvement. I should be able to send out whatever three outfielders TEX starts on any given day, and am crossing my fingers for a comeback season from Adolis Garcia. Realistically, I think I'm somewhere around 8th out of 12th, and that's if I can stay healthy. Best case scenario, my starting pitching overperforms and stays healthy, Garcia has an unlikely resurgence with a change in scenery, my infielders scrappiness pays off as Texas pushes for a wild-card season, and both the Rangers and my team get blown out in their first matchup after sneaking into the playoffs.

  42. I wouldn’t exactly say they were the good guys then. But they were better. Basically Trump and Stephen Miller wanted a quota, to show the MAGA idiots that they were serious about deportation and as a result ICE started breaking the rules. Now they’re damaged goods, they will never have credibility again with the American public. That’s why we need to scrap them and reassess this whole issue.

When she asked, "Is doing Minnesota math a prop?" Walz replied, "Minnesota ranks at the top. Where does South Carolina rank?"
