    McFadden vs. Ray Rice (PPR)

They'll both likely end up in RBBC situations. The Ravens offense looked solid last night, while we know the situation in Oakland (no QB/WR's). Which will be the more effective back in a PPR league?

    Cuse9's Help Thread

I play in a 12-team PPR (1 pt) keeper league and I'm currently slotted as the #6 pick. Each team is allowed to keep up to four players. If you keep one player, you lose your 1st round pick...two players, 1st and 2nd round pick...etc. I originally intended to keep Kurt Warner, Roddy White, Kevin Smith, and Darren McFadden. If I do this, my first pick will be the 6th pick of the 5th round. I've started to look at this league from a value standpoint and have come to the conclusion that Warner is not worth a pick in the first 4 rounds. While many of the top players will be kept, there will still be good value picks available in rounds 4 and 5. If I let Warner walk, I can grab a better WR/RB in the 4th round and then consider taking a QB in round 5 or 6. Here's who may be available when it's my turn to pick in the 4th round, should I only keep 3 players: Marion Barber Larry Johnson Derrick Ward Ray Rice Knowshon Moreno Reggie Bush Thomas Jones Jonathan Stewart Lendale White Dwayne Bowe Roy E Williams Jerricho Cotchery Anthony Gonzalez Vincent Jackson Terrell Owens Santonio Holmes Braylon Edwards Eddie Royal

Just got done with my draft! How did I do?

I'm not high on the Braylon pick in round 5 but you had done a pretty good job up to that point. DeSean in the 6th is good value. I also believe Hasselbeck will have a bounce back year. One thing I would have done differently is take only one TE and probably target a high upside WR or RB instead. Overall, not bad.

    Keeper League: Keep Warner?

I should clarify - keeping Warner does not cost me a 1st round pick, it costs me a 4th round pick. Keepers don't have a round value, they are just keepers - if you keep one you lose 1 pick. Here's who may be available when it's my turn to pick: Marion Barber Larry Johnson Derrick Ward Ray Rice Knowshon Moreno Reggie Bush Thomas Jones Jonathan Stewart Lendale White Dwayne Bowe Roy E Williams Jerricho Cotchery Anthony Gonzalez Vincent Jackson Terrell Owens Santonio Holmes Braylon Edwards Eddie Royal

Why is Chris Johnson going so high in drafts?

johnson went two rounds before lendale white in my draft. he's a hell of a talent but lendale will still get plenty of touches.

    Pick help...8, 17, 18 overall

go portis with your first pick, then take fitzgerald and manning. ryan grant could be a stud but he's still nursing a sore hamstring and brandon jackson is right up his behind. mcgahee hasn't been ready all preseason and likely won't be 100% until a few weeks into the season. if you're going to take either of these guys, i'd pray they slip and grab them with a later pick (though i doubt that will happen).

    McFadden/Holmes for Braylon Edwards?

12 team keeper, year two. my draft went like this: andre johnson (kept) jamal lewis mcfadden kevin smith santonio holmes chris chambers derek anderson owen daniels ray rice justin gage matt schaub rashied davis eddie royal titans D mason crosby dustin keller edwards for holmes/mcfadden - does this help my team? or is santonio close enough to edwards' ability that i lose? (note: return TD's dont count for individual stats)

    Earnest Graham vs. LenDale White

PPR Keeper league. I'll have the choice between the two. Is the loss of Davin Joseph enough to scare me off Graham?

    Thomas Jones vs Laurence Maroney

I'm in a keeper league draft and I'll likely have to choose between these two. Who do you think will be more effective in a PPR league?

    R.I.P. Stud RB Theory

In PPR leagues, this article is spot on. I'll believe it when I see it in standard leagues, though.

    WW's Help Thread

just trying to get a good analysis here. leagues i 6 points per td all around, keepers for as long as you want. i'm in a 1-point per reception keeper league, and i have overal picks 2, 4, 7, and 11. i kept andre johnson. here's who's available: QB: Roethlisberger, Derek Anderson, Favre, McNabb, Bulger, Eli Manning, Delhomme, Cutler, Rivers, Schaub, Aaron Rodgers, Vince Young, Tavaris Jackson, Trent Edwards, JaMarcus Russell, Pennington, Garcia, Leinart, Garrard RB: Jamal Lewis, Willie Parker, Julius Jones, Mcfadden, Lendale White, Thomas Jones, Ronnie Brown, Maroney, Matt Forte, Selvin Young, Kevin Smith, Fred Taylor, Deangelo Williams, Earnest Grahm, Chris Johnson, Ray Rice, Jonathan Stewart, Mendenhall WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Chad Johnson, Cotchery, Roddy White, Dwayne Bowe, Driver, Santonio Holmes, Calvin Johnson, Bernard Berrian, Chris Chambers, Santana Moss, Coles, Kevin Curtis, Lee Evans, Greg Jennings, Isaac Bruce TE: All except Witten position format is: QB RB RB WR WR FLEX TE K DST what i'm worried about is draft strategy - the 2nd worst team kept no players and has picks 1, 3, 5, 8, and 12 - but he's probably going to take larry fitzgerald with #3 because that was supposed to be his keeper. he knew that i'd be starved for a HB and figured that he'd drop fitz and take him with the #3 pick so he could grab what he thinks will be the best HB available at #1, instead of letting me have the top pick. it's a sound strategy because i pretty much have to go best halfback available with my first two picks. the pick layout for the first 4 rounds works like this: team A me, team A me, team A, team B me, team A, team C, team B me...(starts regular snake draft) team B kept reggie wayne and torry holt, so he almost has to go HB with his 3rd round pick. team C complicates things because he kept brees, marvin harrison, and willis mcgahee. i'd say in order of FF competence, i'd rank them: team B > team A > team C what approach should i take?

    PPR Keeper League: Overall Picks 2, 4, 7, 11

Each team can keep up to 4. Standard practice: keep 1 lose a 1st round pick, 2 lose a 1st and 2nd, etc... My team was decimated and I was left with only Johnson - team A had Larry Fitzgerald but opted not to keep him which left him with zero keepers, probably so he can go #1 at a stud running back and try to redraft Fitz in the second round. There is no limit on the amount of years you can keep a player. The first four rounds look like this: 1: team A 2: me, team A 3: me, team A, team B 4: me, team A, team B, team C 5: full 12-team draft starting with me (snakes around at 12)
