    Steve smith potentially #1

Ah, yes then I agree with that. I'd say, despite him being a great receiver, his numbers ARE flukey good, his alley-oop td reception from owen daniels being exhibit A. But somehow I think these things tend to correct themselves after the season's over, so I'd say top 10, which I think is incredibly bold but obvs not in this thread lol.

    Steve smith potentially #1

I really feel obligated to call out this post. Defenses catching on? He's been in the league 1.5 decades, and also if any team would know how to shut him down it would have been his former team, right? He's a freak of nature still at his age, and plays tough but smart to avoid injuries. I've seen all of Flacco's games and Steve Smith is definitely his all-time favorite toy. The fact that he's the best possession/move-the-chains WR AND big play threat on the Ravens is the key to his current and future success. Boldin never got the separation that he does, he's better after the catch then Pitta was, he's a better route-runner than Torrey, Flacco trusts him b/c of his high football IQ, and he's still just as hungry for success as when he was a rookie. Guy's a champ.

    Ben Tate is Back

I have an eerie feeling he will be the guy to own, and will frustratingly take carries and production away from the rookies behind this very good O-line w/ this favorable RB schedule.

    Matt Ryan - Sell High?

People think Ryan better than Brees here ROS?
  5. I have to say you might regret dropping Taliaferro. He's just the blend of power and finesse the ravens need as a feature back, w/ Forsett being a career scat-back/3rd down specialist. 'Ferro visibly hits the holes harder than Forsett and is surprisingly shifty in the open field, having better home-run hitting ability than even Forsett by having longer runs than him 2 games in a row. At the very least he'll get half the carries in this offense and be the primary GL back. A poor man's Mark Ingram, but healthy and with upside to become actual bellcow. A rich man's McKinnon, b/c he has no serviceable big back in front of him on the depth chart, but is also a rookie who struggles in pass-pro.

One of the funniest videos I've seen all year

Yeah he is big b/c at 0:50 some kid says "You're fat!" to him.

is B. Marshall worth the price?

I think Emmanuel Sanders is undervalued right now. Still got a boatload of snaps, targets, and production w/ Welker back, and let's not forget Welker is on his last legs.

    Week 5 Breakout Player

    Austin Davis

Do I pick up a new Defense?

NE are one of the 5 DSTs that you hold I guess.

    Trade Ball for Jennings?

Ball has a brutal upcoming slate of ARI, NYJ, and SF while Jennings is undervalued getting a rest game last Thurs in a blowout. Jennings has a great matchup against the Falconians this week. Offer Ball for Jennings?

    Lamar Miller owners

I personally drafted him and resisted dropping him after week 1 b/c I believe in MIA's run game. I don't know about you but I need his points and he has been/will be in my lineup probably every week until Moreno is active.

    Cordarelle Patterson is droppable right?

Omg... if you looks at his numbers from the second half of last season, his receiving numbers are pedestrian and his value was built on explosive runs for touchdowns (which I believe the threat of AP helped create). Also, his perceived value was based on how explosive he is with the ball in his hands in space (mainly as a kick returner). I've heard some reports this year saying "he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer", which I interpret to mean he struggles at the nuances of the wide receiver position at this point in his career.
  13. Charles has practiced 3 straight days and is listed as probable to face the Pats on Monday night. If you don't own Charles, what do you consider Davis' value to be? Drop him in favor of an RB3? Or hold as the most valuable handcuff in fantasy?
  14. Just decided I'm gonna play the 54-man roster trick and drop Brian Quick who I can hopefully pick back up next week being weak at WR.
  15. I have an extra bench spot/illegal lineup w/ no kicker, so I gotta add/drop before the games.
  16. Thanks.. I need to pick up a kicker tomorrow, so I'm either dropping Knile or Lorenzo. The thing about Taliaferro is that he has a good chance to get the starting job for the second chunk of the season w/o needing an injury, whereas Knile needs a major Charles injury. But then again, if Knile is starting he's a rock-solid RB1 especially w/ McKnight out for the season now, whereas Taliaferro will still be part of a committee and at BEST a middle of the pack RB2. I'm going to wait until the last minute to make the decision to see if there's any update on any of these situations, but I'm leaning towards dropping Davis.

    Teleflora....he needs one

Now the AFC North is featuring 2 Italian running backs.

    Drop West for Crowell

All 3 are lottery tickets after their bye.

    wr/wr finally paying off

I'm 2-1 w/ those 2 as my first picks as well! Love my "bad news bears" RB corps though w/ Jennings, Bradshaw, K. Davis, CJ?K, J. Hill, and the other Italian running back in the AFC north Lorenzo Taliaferro!

Players you missed on- Players you hit on

Doubled down on Julio, have him in 2/3 leagues. Hit. Doubled down on Montee on the other hand in 2/3 leagues, missy. Also, drafted Brees w/ my first pick in one league hoping for record-setting offense. Miss. Was high on R. Jennings based on a Greg Cosell scouting report. Hit. Lucked out: picked up Lamar Miller the night before Moreno got injured based on a Greg Cosell scouting report about Miami's run game. Went w/ Torrey Smith against my own intuition and started him first 2 weeks. Miss. Future hit**: trading Terrance West for Brandin Cooks after week 1 w/ trade going through after week 2, AND picking up Lorenzo Taliaferro in my two 12-team leagues.

    wr/wr finally paying off

My words that were typed by me is the WR position is less injury prone than RB. Which is a truthful fact.
  22. H-man

    wr/wr finally paying off

Got Dez and Julio too. Top wideouts tend to be more consistent and the position is less injury prone than running backs. If you're good, you went into the draft targeting Luck or Ryan at QB w/ this strategy.

    whats ahmad bradshaws value?

Ball has terrible matchups in the coming weeks.
  24. Flood my leagues w/ slightly lopsided trades, so if each one has a 1-in-20 chance of being accepted, and I send out 20 over the span of a couple weeks.. you get the idea.
  25. H-man

    So I dumped Lamar Miller...damn

Miller is a lead back averaging 6 yards per carry in a run-friendly Bill Lazor offense behind a top-5 run-blocking o-line.
