  1. One of the most overvalued guys in fantasy right now is Vernon Davis. Independent of his bad QB in SF, he wasn't a good real-life TE this year and is currently viewed by NFL teams as a SIXTH ROUND DRAFT PICK. I implore you, stop going based on past results and name-recognition FFTodayers, Vernon Davis is a shell of his former self and was just a depth add for DEN. On the other hand, I think Owen Daniels is turning on the style (in his own special way) and is a trusted target of Manning's. While he's a long shot to be a TE1 ROS, he has a better shot than Davis.
  2. You were dead-ass wrong about Owen Daniels.

Nothing doing for Mike Evans. Whammy!

No, but I'm rooting against him.

Just made a deal for Dez

To drop Lacy for high-upside lottery ticket Rawls in a 10-team league (basically if Lacy is your 4th RB or worse). Own him in both my leagues and have Lynch in none! Started him over McCoy when the news came out Lynch was inactive! 36 points and counting!

Is Matt Jones worth taking a flyer on

There's no debating he's playable in most leagues. On a neutral field, I think of him as a Ronnie Hillman type in the fantasy world. Hillman gets more touches, but Jones does more with less because he has a better run-blocking o-line and is a better runner irl. OP sounds like he's in a 10-teamer.

    Who's the better QB ROS?

Mariota is exactly 24. I love my go to guys. Hope you didn't start him this week!

    Is Ingram injured?

Looks like I gave you some pretty good advice.

    Who's the better QB ROS?

My go to guys have Mariota as the #24 QB this week, I'm gonna follow this matchup though to test their accuracy.

    What's up with Ivory?

Yeah, it's interesting. Stewart, Gore, and Foster each averaged under 3.2 YPC against Jacksonville, and Lamar Miller averaged 1.4 ypc. Conventional wisdom is they're a good matchup. Their fantasy points to RBs have come mostly thanks to seven 1yd TD runs; 3 from Blount, 2 from Martin, and 2 from Ivory. That is pretty odd. That sorta thing, a RB simply getting a 1 yard carry, can go weeks without happening.
  12. Do you think Vernon Davis will post better stats than him ROS?

Just made a deal for Dez

You just traded a solid RB2 for a future WR1/current WR2, and are now trying to trade a WR1 for a solid RB2? What the hell's going on out here! Hey, if Doug Martin finishes the season outside the top 30, you're a genius and come back and tell me I was wrong. But now you're team is lopsided with several more WR1s than you can start and not enough RB2s for the playoffs once Forte returns and Langford's out. In a 10-teamer I'd rather have a lotto ticket like Rawls than Lacy, he's not even startable in 14-team leagues right now.

    Who's the better QB ROS?

I like Romo better than Mariota. Ask yourself, are you high on Mariota because he lit up Tampa Bay (week 1) and New Orleans last week? Because those are the 2 worst defenses vs. QBs in adjusted fantasy points allowed. Literally #1 and #2. My guys who know a lot more than I do still have Mariota in QB2 territory. It sounds like your'e in a 2 QB league and that your best bet is streaming signal callers week to week.

trading ingram and landry for dez

Absolutely not. Ingram for Dez straight up would be a fair trade in a vacuum, but in your particular case that would hurt your team IMO. Also, IMO there's real value in having a very strong first man up on your bench at RB. You're not killed by an injury, and have the luxury of playing the matchups as well. Also, Diggs is better than Hilton btw. And Pierre Thomas is not on an NFL roster.
  16. Scouts who watched the all 22 game film gave him a positive grade last week as being one of Denver's top 5 players. Did you watch the all 22? Did you read the title of this thread? The point is they didn't like him, and now that's making him better dolt.

    What's up with Ivory?

Yes he's banged up and not right, and his line isn't helping, but I take solace in the fact that the Jags allow the fewest YPC to running backs at 3.2 ypc. It was 3.5 ypc before he faced them. I'm starting him over Yeldon this week, the BUF defense is one of the least effective at hitting RBs at or near the line of scrimmage which is key for me having confidence in him. We'll see what happens because Ivory and the Jets seem to be one of the best at getting hit at the LOS, something has to give. Definitely monitor him, but most guys have some major knock on them at this point in the season, you just know the most about your own players and all of their flaws.

I am Now A Firm Believer in Zero RB Theory

Gurley and Freeman weren't handcuffs. In fantasy, handcuffs are guys that are one injury from your stud RB away from being startable most weeks. For you, they're a restraining device your mom uses on you while flicking your pen*s and telling you how bad you are at fantasy football, because that's the only way you can get off.

    Eddie Lacy Trade Value

Sunday afternoon I traded him for the Saints D because he was, at that time, undroppable in CBS leagues, and I knew I could get more out of that roster spot in my league after unsuccessfully trying to trade him for scraps. I angrily wrote to CBS last week to let us drop Lacy and they wouldn't, and it cost me keeping Woodhead (saw Forsett hit free agency and had to pick him up). Nobody wanted him in a trade and ultimately I couldn't even trade him for a then-ranked #39 ROS Karlos Williams straight up. They made Lacy droppable the day after my trade was accepted lol, but I traded him to the last place team who's not in my division, so even better than letting him hit waivers mid-week.

Need help - to trade or stay pat?

Olsen gets 11.1 points per game, which is low-end WR2/high-end WR3 territory in terms of PPG, with the low consistency of a TE. I feel the best advice I can give to you is that your trade partners might feel you're overvaluing Olsen and you might not get a deal done.

    Carr Elite

This is a pointless thread, but has anyone else been watching Derek Carr today? He's Dalton light this year, maybe even better. Firmly a top 10 QB in this league. This kid can ###### play!

    Carr Elite

Hah my bad I completely missed that it was a keeper league question. It doesn't really belong in this thread, but we can definitely help establish what Carr is by comparing him to similar QBs. You have 8 games of eval left to make up your mind! lol

    Carr Elite

Strength of schedule sir. Luck has it in spades. Carr does not. Four of his next seven games I consider to be bad matchups, starting this week with the Vikings who will be his toughest test since week 5 when he put up 11 fantasy points against Denver, who he sees again in week 14. Today Yahoo said in a piece, if you have Carr "no need to carry a second QB", I think that may be a little too bold.

ARob visits Revis Island this week

Apparently, Revis had a really good game actually. Against ARob alone, only 2 of 7 passes thrown to ARob in his coverage were completed, 2 were defensed with one leading to an INT Revis created. My guess is that if your offense has multiple good WRs, most shutdown corners won't stay on the same #1 guy more than 70% of the snaps assuming you move him around the formation a little bit. It's only if you're OBJ or Julio and are your team's only threat that a shutdown corner will probably shadow you 90%+ of the game I'm guessing. My guys have Revis as the #3 CB this year, but, thankfully, Revis' job is to do what the coach tells him and play good defense, not dash the hopes of fantasy owners. LOL.
