Kamala Harris worst polling numbers for any VP... EVER
Voltaire replied to Ultra Max Power's topic in The Geek Club
Her or Bush Senior. Kinda lucked into Trump. -
OK reading my position correctly. both Biden and Kamala are weak candidates. I want both to lose. Biden cannot win, Kamala has some slight chance because Trump himself has such high negatives. I prefer Biden for the layup win and for another reason: 2028. In a 2028 Democratic primary, the Dems will be able to field a slate of new candidates, maybe some will be talented and formidable. Well, I don't want a talented and formidable Dem to win. Kamala will be a formidable for her VP status and for identity politics reasons but is not talented. Nobody likes her. There will easily be more electable people in the 2028 field than her, just like last time she ran in 2020. So I am totally behind Kamala 2028 as the horse most likely to lose in the Democratic field. She is unremarkable, flawed, but the DEI darling of a party obsessed with DEI. So let the Democrats run their DEI princess in 2028 and label any opposition to her as a racist and mysogynist, terms the Democrats like to throw around anyway at political opponents they don't like. "People who oppose Vice President Harris are racists and mysogynists. Vote Kamala 2028" is a phenominal club to use to primary challengers because Democrat voters are lemming idiots who'll fall for it. Plus James Clyburn seems deeply inclined to back Harris in 2028, and he could very well reprise his kingmaker role again for the Dems in that election too. Kamala clears teh field of anybody decent, the Dems wind up saddled with two total sh*t candidates in a row, is great for America. But if Kamala runs this time, she's actually got a shot because Trump is unpopular AND it takes her out in 2028. Joe 2024, Kamala 2028 Sonia Sotomayor heart attack 2029. Happy day! Happy day!

Hopefully the corporate globalist left does a better job than the corporate globalist right.

That's where I'm at. Run Joe this year because other than a bad 90 minutes, he's totally with it. Everyone should listen to Karin Jean Pierre on this. The nice thing about not replacing him with Kamala in 2024, is the Dems can save Kamala for 2028. They'd not want to be racist and misogynist by replacing her.

Biden slurred his way through another speech today.

I like to think of the right wing posters here as the Super Friends' Justice League and the left wing posters here as the Legion of Doom. Alternatively, we can be He Man's crew and they can be Team Skeletor.

He looked competent (for his age) at the SotU. A bit frail and slow, but the senior moments were kept to a minimum. The one blaring brainfart was people would go to Moscow to buy presecription drugs. He's able to read off a teleprompter at 92% competency. That's not an endorsement of his message, only of his ability to get it across and express it properly.

Supreme Court rules President is immune for “official acts”
Voltaire replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
It's a scary moment in time, since various factions on the left that are almost always in lock step are now in open warfare with each other. The signals are all mixed and until programming is restored, their Army of leftoid zombies are left to just stumble around rudderlessly and bump into each other. -
Equality is giving the job to the best resume. Equity is throwing the resumes in the toilet and giving the job to the intersectional Olympic hierarchy champion.

Supreme Court rules President is immune for “official acts”
Voltaire replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Wanna know what else is scary for American democracy? Knowing full well a candidate is mentally impaired but hiding that knowledge, changing the rules to screw over someone who challenges him so frequently and so badly that the guy has to leave the part and run for an independent, cancelling your primary result winner in favor of nominating a candidate nobody voted for but was instead selected by party superdelegates, criminally prosecuting your political opposition over nonsense, insisting on no voter ID being needed to vote, ignoring Supreme Court decisions, attempting to stack the Supreme Court, attempting to jettison the fillibuster, and a lot more cr@p but that's just off the top of my head. Yes Democracy is on the ballot. The party that is behind 49-42 in the polls and that loves tearing down George Washington statues and flying Hamas flags is determined to thwart it. -

No I don't see any, I watch them on news reports. -
Apparently, Team Biden is trying to get the nomination officially locked up early... July 21st. We'll see if that actually goes through or if he drops out before. Team Biden does look to be digging in their heels. The Dems are all looking at each other, trying not to be the first to stab him in the back, hoping somebody else does it or maybe all at once. Seems like they want to sh*tcan hood ornament Kamala too, in favor or someone the DNC likes better. And this strategy may actually work... tap say Gretchen HalfWhit, give her an un-vetted honeymoon, all the corporate media swoons and gives her fluff piece after fluff piece of praising her to high heavens for a month and sweep her into office. Hopefully both Team Biden and Kamala give them hell.
