  5. I realize that Hungary has remained a nice country despite the rest of Europe is going to sh*t. So what are the lesson to be learned? Look out for your own people first. Don't get corrupted or bullied by the multinational corporate elite. Keep perverts away from children. Don't allow Illegal immigration into your country. Put criminals in jail. Subsidize young families. Marriage is only between men and women

    NFL Free Agency/ Draft 2024

The Lions could use maybe one big splash free agent at DE or CB. Otherwise keep doing what they're doing. With three successful drafts in a row, at some point all the underpaid young talent on these rookie contracts are going to need to be resigned.

    NFL Free Agency/ Draft 2024

Not Safety. We have great safeties and not enough snaps for them. Even if they let the fine talent that is CJGJ walk, they still have Branch at Nickle, Iffy at Strong Safety and Kirby Joseph at Free Safety. Corners are a problem. They re-signed Moseley but I don't trust his knees. Hopefully he lasts more than two snaps this time. Could also use O-Line depth. Maybe Vaitai can return at a discount. he plays well in the 2-3 games/year he plays. Better as a reserve.

    Timmy’s thread for general discussion

The number of senior moments were minor. Going to Moscow for lower prescription drug prices was the only juicy one. I'm no fan but he looked in charge of his faculties instead of lost. People underestimate him. He easily exceeded expectations.

    Timmy’s thread for general discussion

You're having a hard time convincing people from our culture, let alone others, that adult men getting their jollies off by dressing like women and doing sex dances in front of children is a universal human right. Its gut-wrenching and tragic to see that you've had so much success in getting it mainstreamed into ours. This is toxic and perverse. Nobody with any sense of decency wants anything to do with it.

    Timmy’s thread for general discussion

In today's world, there remains no system of government which is better than the West in general or the US in particular. The ability to elect public officials and hold them accountable, else toss them out is sacrosanct and irreplaceable. For how badly the multinational corporations and globalist politicians who serve their own interests rather than their local population have hijacked the country, theirs is a system that relies on a solid legal system, and these laws are incredibly popular and difficult to change. But we have swayed from out founding roots and cultural norms and traditions. We are backsliding on all fronts of liberty, justice, personal responsibility, and education. In many ways, the country's institutions are hollowed out and corrupted. In other ways, there's still a fine foundation. Ideally we'd have a country with the moral authority to lecture China on their inhumane treatment of Uyghurs. What we have instead is a county that celebrates drag queens twerking their asses in front of five-year-olds to stripper music. The World Economic Forum including the corporations and governments that participate remains the overarching bad guys in the world. They only care about themselves and clearly don't care one iota about the people morals, values, or cultural heritages of countries they come. And they are primarily a product of the West and the ruling class elites of the third world. To the extent that countries outside sway of the multinationals: Russia, China, much of the Middle East, India, and SE Asia good for them but they all have the same problems of self serving government establishments, in their case with no mechanism to remove officials from office. They also lack any historical or cultural connections to the values of liberty and freedom and citizen responsibilities that the west enjoys.

    Timmy’s thread for general discussion

Tim, I remember an exchange with you in which I'd said something like "I would die on the beach of Normandy for the country I grew up in but I wouldn't get out of bed to take a p*ss for Joe Biden's Amerika." You'd replied that it was the same country. I'd not responded at the time, but my thinking along the lines of "No, it's not. We have two sides that hate each other. People on the left have constantly slandered, belittled and undermined it while demonizing anyone who defends it and I want zero to do with the left." That's not just rhetoric on my part. Since my job (teacher) can be done anywhere, I deliberately chose to move my family to one of the reddest parts of the country - a place I have no ties to- so my children who'd until then grown up overseas, can learn to be American in a place that still has strong American values. While I may agree with this plank or that one in the Democratic Party platform in opposition the the GOPs, like Obamacare, but culturally, the left is dead to me. Dead. Flatline. Dead. Anyway, in the fake Timmy thread, somebody posted a gem that I'd like for you to give your opinion on. It's RFK Jr's State of the Union response. Here it is.
  15. Excellent SOTU response by RFK Jr. RFK Jr is a bit older than me but I long for the America of my youth, as well. If more (any? Buehler?) Democrats sounded like RFK Jr or Tulsi Gabbard, I could see voting for them. I want as re-united country rather this epic battle of good vs evil that we have now. Of course he's smeared constantly in corporate left circles for spreading this message of hope and unity, even though he agrees with Dems on a number of policy positions.
  16. I wish corporate MSM were this fair and straightforward. You feel you could have an honest conversation with this person over lunch and disagree politely.
  17. Just last week, timschotel, who has been reading those same stories about Hungary, told us that Hungary puts all (hisword) it's opposition leaders and journalists in jail. I provided a link from Biden's Justice Department at state.gov (no friend of Orban) that mentioned there are no political prisoners in Hungary. Zero. "All" vs. Zero When you consume corporate leftoid media about Hungary, all you get is the corporate globalist response. Hungary remains a nice place and its capitol city is the only one on the continent you can walk around safely at night time anywhere you want. That's because Orban isn't controlled by Brussels and the Word Economic Forum types that jet around the planet. He looks out for his people and is rewarded with re-election. Orban's biggest "crime" is gerrymandering his opposition. I don't particularly like gerrymandering but it happens all over the US as well in states where one party or the other dominate. The EU and the corporate globalists can't/don't control Hungary like they can most anyplace else in the Western world so they whine about it instead.

Geriatric Joe’s State of Union Address

Biden showed that he can still deliver a well-rehearsed long speech properly with a teleprompter. He handled himself fine with only a handful of small gaffes. The worst being that you can buy prescription drugs for cheap in Moscow. Much better than expected and plenty of points he brought up sounded reasonable, the devil is in the details though. More on that. He took cheap shots and mischaracterized Jan 6th as Dems always do. he can take the dagger allegedly pointed at the throat of democracy and shove it up his ass. The real threat to democracy is he himself and his own party, with their unprecedented legal attacks on his arch-rival and supporters. Trump's rhetoric was "Lock her Up" but he never actually attempted to lock her up. Biden does with all these assorted lawsuits filed by activist Democrats in activist Democrat legal jurisdictions and it's despicable and transparently partisan. Abortion is a winning issue for Dems, so they'll ride that as far as they can. Red states handled COVID (like pretty much everything else) much better than blue states and he's mischaracterizing this situation too. I don't know what planet he's living on about consumer confidence soaring and inflation dropping. He's clueless and can fock right off. Bringing up any sort of manufacturing work in the US is good. This was obviously a Trump priority, but Biden's been good about preventing the most corporate globalist Dems from focking it up. I hadn't kept tabs of the story, if Belvedere, IL is an outlier Potemkin village or an actual trend. I wonder what he means about family farms. I remember he had a race-based plan intended to only assist black farmers that got shot down in court. So it got improved. Capping Insulin costs and reducing prescription drug prices are solid proposals. One of the biggest gripes about Obamacare was the Dems struck a deal with Big Pharma to not oppose Obamacare by refusing to let Medicare/ Medicaid negotiate prices for prescriptions. So that's good to get rid of. The GOP looked stupid for not applauding that IMO. Rather than just owning the open borders thing, now that it's not polling well and his policy is a noted failure, he's pretending he's serious about the border and the new tactic is blame the Republicans for not supporting the border bill. So we'll see how that sells. The voting rights act is of course mislabeled. The banning books thing is mischaracterized as usual. Climate Change and guns noted positions. He has to thread the needle on Israel because he's generally been good about it but a large and vocal segment of his party are terrorist supporters. Some reasonable proposals about AI and banning voice impersonating. I mean, it was funny hearing AI Johnny Cash singing the Barbie song, and it sure sounded like Johnny, but whoever did that wasn't trying to trick us into thinking he'd ever recorded it. It was more "look what I can do" and it was funny/impressive. This technology is ripe for abuse, including both Biden and Trump as a victim of these things personally. Find a politician/celebrity you hate and have him say anything you want him to say. That's gotta go. We lose track of reality. I've generally been supportive of his efforts in Ukraine. He's generally right about Israel but I think he's trying too hard to please the Hamas sympathizers in his party by being overly critical of them. Katie Britt was wise to bring up immigration, inflation, the Dems defunding the police and coddling criminals, and Biden's being dithering and diminished. A good mix of pessimism for how people feel with more uplifting optimism for the future. The loud breathing was distraction.

It's been a long time, I'm usually really good about it. But that ended, I re-placed a yellow back into the same spot on my fourth pick. So, I deserved to eat the bogey for being a dumbass.
