Agreed two posts in. President Turmp is a flawed figure but I love the direction the party has taken with him in office. I never did vote for W or McCain or Romney. His behavior isn't very presidential and I do worry that he's inclined to overturn some precedents that I would prefer remain in place. He was right about to wonder about the election being rigged considering what we saw occurring, specifically making it impossible for the poll watchers to do their jobs. The tactic in every close state to stop counting while poll watchers were present, kick them out, then continue counting was galling. I thought going to court was worth doing but once those results from the court came in, specifically on the Texas vs Pennsylvania case, asking Mike Pence to not seat the electors was a step too far would have set off a constitutional crisis. I worry those guardrails may not hold if he's inclined to do something like that again. SCOTUS remains more independently minded than he does however.

It ought to have worked the same for President Trump. Impeachment in every instance lately has been too high a bar to remove anyone from office, but instead has become a stunt for show when the House and the presidency are in the hands of opposite parties. We cannot have a situation where Democrats get to impeach Republican officials when no high crimes and misdemeanors occur, then expect Republicans to only impeach Democrats when high crimes and misdemeanors occur. You can't have it both ways. At least in this instance we do have serious wrongdoing. This impeachment serves two purposes. First, it shines a light on Joe Biden's border policy inviting people to pay close attention to the stark differences. Second, it ensures the rules for impeachment are applied equally going forward.

I was stumped for a long time but I had four letters: the last one and two letters I knew didn't go first. I submitted something with my fourth letter that sounded word-ish and that I didn't think it would take because it was too obscure. Really, I had given up, I was just hoping this whatever would take and land me more greens to set the table for something more obvious. I looked up the definition afterwards.
