I'd not thought to differentiate. All four were standup comedians originally and all four were in TV/film as well although the later two were primarily known for successful TV shows. Rodney starred in movies. Carlin, if he ever starred in a film I can't recall, but he had plenty of memorable supportive characters.

I remember, in China, posting to you guys during halftime when a horrible noise emanated from the TV. It was some BS space suit wearing band called the Black Eyed Peas. I couldn't handle it and changed the channel quickly. I then missed the first five minutes of the third quarter because i couldn't find the channel again. I don't have a plan for halftime. Usher will get his shot to entertain me. Since I barely watch TV and lived in China for 22 years, I don't know fock all about him. I'll leave it on if it's decent.
