The R primary is not a real contest either. Incumbents generally run unopposed and while Trump technically isn't an incumbent, he's still got full incumbent advantages and showing why that is.

Not acceptable behavior for a presidential candidate
Voltaire replied to IGotWorms's topic in The Geek Club
Trump is on the side of the people and anti-uniparty. If you want any confirmation of that, take a look at the enemies he's made: the uber-wealthy corporate globalist media insider crooks gathered in Davos this week. Well connected global citizens who always look out for themselves first, second, third, and fourth, couldn't care less about the people in the countries they originate from and step over them as they board private jets to New York, London, Paris, Dubai, Shanghai, and Singapore every few days. These insider scum are pissing their pants over his return. They have all the levers of power but they can't seem to stop him no matter how hard they pull. You can see it in Trump NOT going to war while cleaning up the international messes, pressuring China, sh*tcanning NAFTA and the trans-Pacific bullsh*t trade agreement, forcing Europe to pay for their share of NATO, making the US energy independent, not pandering to illegal migrants and prioritizing them over US citizens. People know their lives were much better under Trump and are much worse under Biden because they can compare and contrast the two. -
Taylor Swift ought to dump him for Sam LaPorta.

It's not self-evident to you? Sometimes he says dumb sh*t that alienates people. It's not as bad as "grab 'em by the pu$$y" or the birther nonsense but it's on that trajectory. -

Same as I just said. I don't like it and I'm not happy he brings it up. Her being wrong about X, Y, and Z is fair game, this sh*t, othering her on her ethnicity, is a low blow. As for my kids, they all are bilingual and have both English and Chinese names because it makes it easier for people in either country to remember it. -

Let's discuss the NFL's divisional round matchups

And Jaemo. Considering what Mahomes did with Tyreek Hill, he would do wonders with Jaemo. Goff is solid on short to intermediate routes whereas Stafford had a cannon could have used Jaemo much more effectively. People are down on Jaemo for his stupid suspension, and drops, for not living up to the hype. But the kid has a good attitude and he's always downfield blocking as if he were a 7th rounder trying to make the team, not a first round prima donna speedster. It's the mentality that filters through everyone in a WR room led by Amon-Ra St. Brown. -

No. When you take into account that Goff has been consistently putting up better numbers than Mahomes all year, perhaps KC should move on from Mahomes. Look, I thought Goff was a bridge QB when he arrived but that's not that case. I watch this dude every week and LA focked up. When Goff has an O-Line that can protect him, he's as deadly as anyone. With Vaitai out for the year though, we can't afford to lose another O-Lineman; we're down to exactly five good/excellent ones and we need each of them to play every snap because the backups are all a huge step down. The offense is not only solid under Goff, it carries the team. No, Detroit's Achilles Heel is the defense. A Goff-led offense can easily win a Super Bowl if he had a defense that pulled it's weight. Specifically, the non-Hutchinson pass rush and the cornerback(s). Getting James Houston back would be a huge boost, I'd thought for sure the start of the playoffs would mean he gets activated, but no, his return date continued to get pushed back anyway. There's no getting Moseley back. Just have to hope Vildor can hold his own. At least he's now supplanted Jerry Jacobs but that's not saying much, only a slight upgrade; either way, that CB2 spot continues to be where other teams pick on. Sadly Cam Sutton has strung together a bad few weeks in a row on the other side too, which is bad timing because most of the year he was getting it done. Moseley as CB1 and Sutton as CB2 was the plan going into the season and would be wonderful, but we don't have that. Brad Holmes had uncovered a hidden gem undrafted rookie cornerback in training camp named Starling Thomas but he was among the last cuts made and the focking Cardinals plucked him off our practice squad. I don't rightly know how he's been doing in the desert but he did record plenty of playing time for them this year and he could have potentially been hugely helpful. Unfortunately, we kept Jacobs instead. Anyway, Goff... until Stafford came along, we'd had gawd-awful QB play in Detroit over the years and Goff is an asset not a liability. It's not hard to imagine that he could have won the '90s Lions a Super Bowl or three. The offense is not the problem but if this is still the attitude of the rest of the league maybe the Lions can save money on resigning him. That said, Green Bay seems to have stumbled on a good plan at developing QBs. Aaron Rodgers was a late first rounder who sat on his ass for years, the same thing happened with his successor Love. Maybe the Lions can follow that trajectory with Hendon Hooker. Not following the team, most of you guys likely hadn't noticed that he's healthy now. They've taken him off IR and he's being rostered as a QB3 which has allowed him to practice full speed for the last several weeks. So there may be a plan in place anyway. -

There's a lot to be said for finding a way to stay on top for so long. The Chiefs spend year-after-year picking at the back end of the draft. They can't pay/retain all the great players that make them successful, so they watch them go elsewhere and try to fill the gap. Can't be easy but they consistently pull the trick off. -

Been a long time since the days of Elway and Peyton in Denver. While the Chargers can sometimes gather all the pieces, they can never figure out how to put the puzzle together. As for the Raiders, they are just there to make it a quartet. -

Their division sucks but that's not their fault. They only have to run their own ship soundly. Just couldn't find but one WR worth a damn. -

The NFC North and AFC West had a lot of overlap games this season since they all played themselves and each other this year. We have some tough teams in the North, Green Bay is ahead of schedule, Minny when Cousins is healthy, and soon Chicago, who are already pretty good and improved as the season went on, will cash in on their draft capitol. -

Vikings with Cousins is solid win against what likely would have been a playoff team. -

I agree with him that Miami on a neutral field was their best win ... until Miami at home in the playoffs. They do have Mahomes, a solid D, lots of playoff experience, and a track record of success but they haven't gotten out of 4th gear all season. -

The Lions swept the NFC South this year and Tampa Bay, particularly, was one of the easiest wins of the year, so this was the round two matchup I'd hoped for. Better than risk seeing Philly get their act together. -

Cowboys. The Eagles have been in freefall for weeks and had already allowed Dallas to eat their lunch. They also at least had a decent shot of recovering most of the game if they could have found a groove. Dallas whas whooped from the get go and they did not fight back. They rolled over and were done by halftime; a dead cat bounce in garbage time isn't noteworthy.
