Thanks for the post. And congratulations to San Francisco completely then. The city not only got things looking good and seemed; they also helped a lot of the homeless people in the process. I'm amazed that a problem that seemed intractable just a month ago actually got solved humanely with good effort and cooperation between the different factions of the city, state, and federal government. I'm not exactly sure how or who, but likely a great many people across multiple government and non-profit agencies deserve credit for this. The only downside is that it's been so much fun beating up SF over the years on this, now I have to stop now because I actually respect the job they're doing to solve the problem. I'll get over it, the honest truth is that I really am rooting for even the bluest of blue cities to get better.

I'm just an FFToday Ding Dong like the rest of you, no better or worse qualified. The only difference is that I take the time to do it. And yeah, we do get good comments. I appreciate it.

Far-right outsider Javier Milei wins Argentina’s presidency
Voltaire replied to League Champion's topic in The Geek Club
Congrats Argentina and this dude, Everyone the corporate globalist media mouthpieces don't control is a far right outsider, the chances they are right is not zero but close enough that it doesn't matter. I wouldn't read too much into the label. I don't know enough to say but if Argentina politics is on your radar, I'd recommend watching the guy and figure it out for yourself. -
***OFFICIAL Super Bowl LVII Rematch Eagles @ Chiefs***
Voltaire replied to cmh6476's topic in The Geek Club
I don't know how you can post that. If this game doesn't get you pumped, you just don't like 2023 football. I've had this game circled since the schedule came out. These are the two Super Bowl teams from last year, and both are back on top of their conferences again holding the best record. You may well see this matchup again in February. This, Ravens/49ers, and Eagles/49ers are the three elite regular season matchups you'll see this year. -
Oh that's right, you hit the vowels hard early.

I hated queue. I didn't want to guess the Q because it almost never appears. I also hate double guessing letters and there were two U's and two T's. I thought I was going to eliminate nothing. And that was with my 4th try. You were willing to plug the Q in on your third guess.

Wordle 884 2/6 🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I had two consonants and said "fock it" and went for it. Got extremely lucky. My first deuce in a very long time.

They had an awful first half last time the played the Lions but showed signs of life in the second half. Each game is a fresh start. Packers got dinged up at RB today which will hurt.
-
I hope sp. It'd help the Lions twice over, both dropping the Eagles to the same 8-2 record and also giving them a tiebreaker edge as common opponents is the a tiebreaker for teams that don't meet.
-
Yes! Congrats Broncos!
-
Oh my exciting at the end here.
-
Denver has one last shot. C;mon fockers.
-
I know. They can't find the endzone though.
-
That penalty sucked. Would have been a huge momentum shift.
-
You focktards are invited to post in it too.

I think Baltimore was the reality check. Last week was the D's fault, but the D played well enough today. This week would have been on Goff for all the picks had he not righted the ship. That said, they wouldn't have beaten teams better than the Chargers and Bears the last two weeks. There's an ongoing worry about teams shredding their Defense like Seattle, Baltimore, and the Chargers did. I wouldn't want to play in Philly or SF, but we have a reasonable chance of winning home field and beating those teams in Detroit. They'd need some breaks in the Super Bowl.
-
My criteria is "if I were a .500 team with a league average offense and a league average defense, who would I fear most to whose ass do I think I would I most easily kick?" It's why I've kept the Rams and Bills higher than their records, I do expect the Bills to miss the playoffs but I still wouldn't want to play them. The Lions have an easy road to the playoffs and #1 seed but I'm not forgetting the Baltimore game any time soon. Ditto Cards and 49ers for the Cowboys.

Dallas has a bad loss to Arizona, worse than the other two. Dallas does put a smackdown on all their lesser opponents but the best feather in their cap is the Chargers which is a middling team. Miami's' best win is also the Chargers while their losses are to the Bills, Chiefs, and Eagles. Meanwhile the Jags have wins vs Bills and Steelers and no bad losses now that Houston has made the top ten. Both Dallas and Jax got destroyed by SF. Detroit is on this tier as well for pulling a similar clunker vs Baltimore.

This and this. Her husband was considered a decent and honorable person but ineffective as president. I barely remember him and I know even less about her. RIP

Bears won the turnover battle like 4-1 and had time of possession for 2/3 of the game but at no time did they look like they could stop the Lions offense. They had great field possession all game and settled for FGs. Then, in the end, with the game on the line, they choked. It was a battle but the Lions found a way.
-
Oh, good grief. Another turnover. Lions fumble the return on the kickoff after a FG and Josh Reynolds may be hurt. 14-13 Chicago has the ball and great field position. Lions can't get their O on the field.
-
D'Onta Forman limped off the field for Chicago, twisted ankle perhaps. I think they lost their center earlier too.
-
Good, that Detroit ends the first half with the 14-10 lead. Detroit's drives didn't die on downs, they died on INTs. The O is fine if they're not turning it over, the D was shaky on the first drive but settled down after. Still too much of a scare for me. Felt like the Bears were the better team in the first half, but fock 'em.
-
Chicago almost had a third INT - would have been a 95 yard Pick-6 on 1st and goal for Detroit but the Ding-Dong dropped it, thank God. The Lions scored an easy TD on the next play. 7-7
