They wear their politics on their sleeve, they aren't expected to try to be fair and balanced, most don't even realize their predecessors in that profession not that long ago were expected to / supposed to appear neutral. Journalists no long try to mask their personal beliefs and no effort is put into appearing impartial anymore.
