I almost never take shots at a deuce. Mot of the time it's 2x5. I like to get as many pieces as I can before I try to solve it because I'm also trying to solve it as fast as I can in as few guesses as I can. For me the ratio of 3s-to-5s and 2s-to-6s is important, I try to keep them better than 2:1, and I was until those 6s lately screwed me up.

US arrests and Deports Antisemitic Jew Hating Palestinian Student In Columbia University protests against Gaza war

It makes sense that he has an identical resume to the vast majority of US citizen 31 year old Democrats. -
US arrests and Deports Antisemitic Jew Hating Palestinian Student In Columbia University protests against Gaza war
Voltaire replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
Squistion posted the law that he is being deported under and I quoted it. Given the situation at Columbia, it seems that he almost certainly meets the requirements to get deported. That said, I've seen zero evidence of his personal involvement with harassing and threatening Jewish students. I do know that such harassment IS what is happening at Columbia, and seeing as this guy is in the knee-deep in the middle of the ordeal, they probably have both legal and sensible reasons to deport him. -
Are you willing to see the government shut down unless Democrats accept conservative proposals regarding the border and spending?
Voltaire replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
The reason this shutdown will occur is because the Democrats exist. The bill doesn't get filibustered without Democrats actively filibustering it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think though the silver lining is that under the extraordinary circumstances of a government shutdown, the president and OMB would have some decent authority to prioritize which bills get paid (and which don't). -

He's not being sent to the gulag, he's being deported. Granted, his hometown is a pile of rubble that seems like a gulag, but that's how it goes for them. -
10yo American citizen with brain cancer deported
Voltaire replied to Ron_Artest's topic in The Geek Club
Agreed. Being here ten years without any legal trouble tells me that this family are among the best the illegal immigrants have to offer. I support what ICE is doing in 99.9% of cases, and they're doing what i would expect them to do here as well. But if this particular case, due to the unique circumstances, I'd support a humanitarian exemption. Anchor babies are still citizens and sometimes they get cancer. -
Trumps win results in viewership losses for MSNBC's Macho Raddow 🏆
Voltaire replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
Lots of rumors of money problems and viewership dips at CNN and MSNDC. It's for them to figure out how to get eyeballs and stay financially viable in 2025 and beyond. From the outside, they sure seem plenty relevant to me. I haven't noticed a lick of difference. If they really are hollowing out, whatever. I, for one, wouldn't miss them if they go under. -
Tampa Bay Rays not moving forward with new stadium plans
Voltaire replied to Mike Honcho's topic in The Geek Club
Wasn't it their stadium that received heavy damage in the hurricanes last year? One of those central Florida sports team got smashed, I could have sworn it was them. -

It's perfectly acceptable to advocate for better treatment for Palestinians civilians. I would argue that it's Hamas that gets them killed by using them as human shields and deliberately putting them in harm's way, but whatever. I don't like how you're downplaying this "From the River to the Sea" chant. That's crossing the line. "Door. Ass. Bye." for this guy. -

Thanks. Looks like they have a legal mechanism to deport him. Dude should have access to a lawyer though. Being such a newsworthy case, I imagine they'd line up to do pro bono work on his behalf. -
FBI to criminalize groups that received EPA grants?
Voltaire replied to MDC's topic in The Geek Club
They're being investigated for fraud and payments are being withheld. So not charged. We'll see how it develops if they find fraud. I'd hate to think Habitat For Humanity is anything but on the up-and-up. We'll see. -
Wordle 1,363 4/6 🟨🟩 🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I wonder if that third guess was even necessary since all I found were five letters that didn't fit. I just didn't feel close.

Pam Bondi to start arresting all sanctuary city mayors!
Voltaire replied to HB Localboy's topic in The Geek Club
This seems more a Biden thing than a Trump thing. Trump just fires people, whereas Biden is the one who throws political opponents in jail. I was hoping we'd move past that with Trump. -
Not true. thegeneral is capable of, and does, frequently make cogent arguments. Meanwhile, Trail Guy has zombie-level intellectual capacity. There is no 2nd, 3rd, 4th, nor 5th gear to rise to. He's just a stupid version of bomb-throwers like gutterboy or Rusty, who at least have the arm-strength to get their bombs over to enemy lines. Trail Guy's bombs bounce off the trench walls and land behind him.

I doubt it needs explaining. Republicans do have the votes for a simple majority. Democrats have the filibuster, something you may recall, they had tried to eliminate when they were in the majority. To really get things done permanently requires supermajority of 60 votes in the Senate, not a simple majority of 51. Its the one lever they can still pull and they are. Anyway, the Democrats are threatening / appear willing to use the filibuster to block the bill from passing.

My position too. Bird Flu happens.

Suppose somebody hates Trump and love complaining about him more than they care about people living in the country... I happen to notice that many people like this exist...

United Healthcare CEO shot, killed in midtown NYC
Voltaire replied to IGotWorms's topic in The Geek Club
His best shot seems to be jury nullification. Half the city thinks he's a hero; he just needs one of those people on his jury and be obstinate. -

As for Bondi arresting sanctuary city mayors, I'll believe it when I see it. -
I was at the Huddle until it imploded. Went to FBG first, that site was in its first year, but theHuddle diaspora was unwelcome and treated horribly. I came over over to help JetDoc set up an Interboard League team here and stayed. FFToday was much closer to what theHuddle had been than FBG ever was.

Other than her liking Doritos and using Door Dash to get them, I don't understand anything else she's saying. I need 60 Minutes to edit this for me. -

They need to be evicted by the time the next census happens and state populations are measured for Congressional Seat reapportionment. In the mean time, they can suck blue state taxpayers dry. -
