I've long disagreed with you on the extent that racism is central and systemic. The laws were changed in the 60s and whatever vestiges of it have long since faded. All I've seen my whole life is the country bending over backwards to help black folks, they get way more help than I ever got. All the systemic racism you claim exists flows in 180 degrees, the exact opposite direction that you claim it does, and further it's been that way all our lives. (I'm 51). If that assistance was targeted to kids growing up in the inner-city ghettos with schools almost entirely minority, that would have been at least understandable. It's hard to climb out of that destitute environment. But that's not how it works. When you go to a low-income area of mixed races and say only these kids are worth helping and being offered assistance while these ones aren't, and that's based on the color of their skin, you're going to breed anger and resentments. Systemic racism is a fantasy long since irradiated, but if you could actually point it out, I would join you in getting rid of it. We're at a point where it's long gone and the pendulum has swung way far beyond where it ever needed to stop, which has always been colorblindness and equality under the law.
