The ICE Raids are killing local economies; they need to stop
Voltaire replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
I see somebody else noticed that 160 years ago, Democrats were making the exact same arguments about cotton and tobacco workers. In states other than California, Americans who do these jobs were getting squeezed by the underpaid illegal immigrants, so they voted the illegals out. Meanwhile, in California, those Americans have long been put out of business already since they have to pay the minimum wage and contractors who hire illegals don't. -
Minnesota teen mistakenly harassed as trans in Buffalo Wild Wings bathroom files discrimination claim
Voltaire replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
One of the saddest things about the trans movement is that fugly women, who already had it hard enough before, no longer get the benefit of the doubt. In this case, dressing like that, she's not putting much effort into avoiding confusion. -
Someone told dumdum he could conduct target practice there.

2025 brings me a year further recovered and more financially stable after the personal disaster in 2021. Plus the national news is steady pace of wonderful, day after day, and frequently feels like Christmas morning.

Ugh That Devo cover was criminally atrocious.

They really are. They look great. Unfortunately, the years they wore them, the team sucked. -
FL Teacher fired for using student’s preferred name speaks at school board meeting

Yes, I teach 8th grade math in the panhandle to kids who never learned 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th grade math. At the end of the school year, the assistant principal comes through and gives all my students a D so they can become the High School's problem next year. Also, my daughter in 7th grade doesn't go to my school. We get a state-funded scholarship and she goes to a nearby Christian private school. -
College football has had male cheerleaders for years, but note that these guys are easily distinct because they dress in totally different male uniforms, whereas these Vikings cheerleaders will blend right in, wearing female makeup and dressing in uniforms identical the girls.

FL Teacher fired for using student’s preferred name speaks at school board meeting
Voltaire replied to TimHauck's topic in The Geek Club
This is what the school district superintendent has to say about the issue: ------ The Florida Department of Education has issued a formal reprimand and placed a former Brevard Public School teacher, Melissa Calhoun, on a one-year probation for knowingly and repeatedly violating state law by referring to a student by a name that did not match their biological gender, without parental consent. As Superintendent, I want to reaffirm our district’s unwavering commitment to parental rights. Teachers hold a powerful position of influence, and that influence must never override the rights of parents to be involved in critical decisions affecting their children. This was not a mistake. This was a conscious and deliberate decision to engage in gender affirmation without parental knowledge. We notify parents when students are absent or struggling with classwork; it is unacceptable to withhold information on matters of such personal significance. This was not a case of confusion or lack of training. Statute 1000.071 directed the state board of education to adopt rules to implement the statute; 6A-1.0955 is an administrative law that school districts are required to follow. Mrs. Calhoun has acknowledged that her actions were intentional and that she was aware of the law and violated it. That is deeply troubling. We must have trust in our teachers to act in partnership with families, not come between parents and their children, especially when it comes to these meaningful conversations. While the state has chosen to allow this individual to retain their certification under probation, I believe it is appropriate that the full term of that probation be completed before any consideration of employment. Our district will always prioritize the law, the trust of our families, and the rights of parents. Brevard County Superintendent Mark Rendell -

In Escambia County, parents have the opportunity to list any alternative names or nicknames teachers are allowed to use for their kid. Most leave that box blank. Out of 175 kids, I have like five parents that take advantage of that. But for those five, its hard to miss, its prominently displayed on the student page and even in the limited space on the seating chart. For example, I have a kid named Dwayne. All his friends call him D-Bo and the parents indicate I have permission to call him D-Bo too. So I do. -

Also, she still has her Florida teaching certification, she just didn't get her contract renewed. -

In Florida, teachers need to obtain the parents' permission and consent in order to groom their kid into transgenderdom. Brevard schools needs a 74th new teacher. -

I'd boycott whatever show she's on, but I've already been doing that anyway. If she ever gets another show, she should be Rachel Zeiglered. -

Poor Italy. Would have been better off admitting a Somali ISIS recruiter instead. -
Nice job, pegging a 12-year-old girl with a diIdo, idiot. I'll take it as a good sign for the WNBA that there weren't enough courtside seats for Noodle Arm to move up.

Thanks, I didn't see it. A real actual Nazi, different from and unrelated to the stretching girl, received 17K likes. Someone like Adolf Hitler Campbell's mom. Got it. -
DEI is getting a new name. Can it dump the political baggage?

Coming from you that means nothing, since you far and away have demonstrated the most broken compass of right and wrong, good and evil, of any person who posts here. -

And yet they vote Republican in increasingly greater and greater numbers. It's a riddle wrapped in an enigma and I hope people with your political beliefs never figure out why. Regarding your first and third points, I doubt Trump cared about the races or genders of the people he put in his cabinet and while gerrymandering doesn't lend itself to good government ideals, it is something that both parties engage in wherever they control the state legislature and governor's offices. I already personally squashed you like a cockroach on your recurring lie about taking away food and insuance from minorites but you bring it up anyways, still trying to convince a zebra that it's green. To repeat, Giants Fan and people in the country illegally are the ones losing benefits, not "minorities." Not speaking English is a telltale sign of being an immigrant and if no papers are present, they will get processed. The system isn't ideal but it, like everything else trump does, is a massive improvement over what people like you do/did. While it turns out the police in Springfield, Ohio have said they do not have a problem with pets being abducted by Haitians, the massive influx of Haitians into that community and others during the Biden years played a big part in why the good guys won the last election. -

Voltaire replied to kilroy69's topic in The Geek Club
If minorities want to be treated as equals in a colorblind society, they have the Republican Party. If minorities want to be treated as retards and pets in need of somebody smarter than them to take care of them, they have the Democratic Party. -
How do self described "intelligent" democrats not know what the word democracy means?
Voltaire replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
It hasn't occurred to them that pandering to the wishes of Islamic or TQ+ anarcho-communists may not be very good for their party. If the Joker faction knocks off the Penguin faction in local blue sh*tholes, who cares? The next generation needs a new lesson in why communism sucks anyways and what better place to kick those tires that in easily avoidable blue sh*tholes? It's the perfect place for that to occur. And besides... be it Joker faction or Penguin faction, they all vote identically at the national level anyways. None are reasonable. So, I don't mind seeing the Joker faction take over that party, both for the comedy effect of leftoid failure and because they are utterly toxic to the Dem brand in any purple places on the map.
