Detroit's O-Line is first rate and if you give Goff time, he can get things done. Also David Montgomery and whatever they do with Gibbs will be going against a seriously depleted KC D-Line missing their best player. The KC defense starts with Chris Jones while the O runs through Kelce. KC week one 2023 is vulnerable. They're not 2022's 17-3 Kansas City team. They're gutted of two elite stars. They more resemble 2022 Green Bay, a team the Lions destroyed twice last year and now the secondary has been greatly upgraded in the offseason and their young studs are collectively entering their prime. The 53 players the Lions put out week one are better than the 53 the Chiefs will be able to put out. You can't just replace elite talent like Kelce and Jones with next man up. I'm not going to claim the Lions are better than KC, only that in week one they are. The next sixteen weeks are somebody else's problem.

Focker is welcome to take his ten plus two days of rest and come back and play against the Bears, Vikings, Packers, and everyone else. Good luck with him, non-Lions. Meanwhile the AFC is full of solid teams looking to steal the first round bye and playoff homefield advantage out from under KC. They'll be pleased for an 0-1 start to the season KC will have to dig themselves out of. Maybe KC panics and gives in to Jones' unreasonable ransom demands. He'll also return sooner or later and be somebody else's problem, good luck with that as well. For tomorrow, no Kelce + no Jones = a Lions win ripe for the taking vs last year's 17-3 defending champs

The secondary has been completely overhauled through free agency. They signed Chauncey Gardner Johnson, Cam Sutton, and Emannuel Mosby and all accounts are 2nd round pick Brian Branch has been a stud in preseason. Meanwhile the young talent on the D-Line and linebackers who started to gel the second half of last year are coming into their prime. The Lions should easily win their division and may well be the third best team in the conference. They get a test to see how well it all comes together in week one. Without Kelce and Jones and that other starter whatshisface, the Chiefs are as beatable as they're ever going to be. The football gods are handing this win to the Lions if they can step up and take it.

Lions found the right time to play them: no Jones, no Kelce. If they are actually contenders, they need to put a beatdown on this team missing two of their top three players. It'll be a huge disappointment if the Chiefs can actually pull this off.

As you may know, the Lions have Goff starting QB and Bridgewater as #2. What's easy to miss is at the #3 spot where they drafted an injured Hendon Hooker who'll spend the year on IR and now have signed David Blough to the practice squad. The Lions QB room has an interesting tandem of 'Hooker and Blough.'

Oh, the singer. Thank God. I was worried Jonathan Taylor finally did get traded to the Eagles.

Don't want Democrats nor chokers going near my daughters. Don't know who David Portnoy is, but he seems entertaining and being an ass is presumbably part of his shtick. Like most news these days, you're going to get the spin, hopefully they provide accurate facts. In Business Insider's case, they basically tell you that they identify themselves as the mouthpiece for corporate globalist crooks in their name, and I've no reason to doubt it, I think it's accurate, I've always seen them as such.

Jimmy Buffet: Margaritaville - YouTube I won't hold you to that offer, maybe if you insist, but yeah... this is the version I know. At the 1:00, 2:00, and 3:30 he's unwinding his "some people claim" and there are three different lyrics as the truth bubbles up... "nobody's fault", "could be my fault", and "it's my own damn fault". Maybe other versions have only one... if so, he shouldn't have recorded them, this way is so much better. The move from denial to acceptance is appreciated.

I like how Jimmy does it so much better... first time it's nobody's fault, second time it could be his fault, third time is when he finally comes to grips with the truth.

Some people claim there's a woman to blame. RIP Jimmy

Police in Ohio release body camera video showing officer fatally shooting pregnant woman Ta'Kiya Young

I don't think they even care if it's against themselves. They feel shame and guilt about being rich and privileged, so they consider getting robbed to be like giving to charity. -
I love Subway and wished one would show up in Panzhihua when I was there, would have been there frequently, like I did when in Chengdu. A rare treat I only got twice a year or so at the Kunming airport.

Wishing somebody's parents to have been caught up the Holocaust is a low blow. I think Gilbert Gottfried's interaction with Amy Heckerling's Holocaust-obsessed babysitter on the Howard Stern show was about the funniest thing ever broadcast, but those were all indirect hits and it helps that both he and Stern are Jewish themselves. And regarding reparations, it would be fun if we had someone in here defending them but that's not Tim, who has consistently found them to be a bad idea. I haven't seen any of them defend the concept. I'm crossing my fingers that the people he voted for knuckle under to shame/guilt pressure and make him reach for his wallet anyway because watching California liberals regularly bash their country and their forbearers, it seems to me that they should put their money where their mouth is.

Have you tried whining, crying, pouting, demanding, and accusing anyone who see through your ruse of being a racist? Throw the "racist" accusation at any white liberal and watch them melt and capitulate to whatever you want.

I forget what word it was, it was 5-6 weeks ago, but I'd used it as a starting word previously. I made a note on it at the time.

This is the same school that tried to destroy a small bakery that had been a family for over 100 years because they dared try to prevent a shoplifting. Since Ohio isn't California, and leftoid criminals in Ohio can't just take things they want from stores without paying, and since radical leftoid administrators at Oberlin don't know this, the school wound up losing a huge lawsuit. It was pretty funny and well deserved. I see they are still turds. They don't belong in Ohio and ought to relocate. I hear North Korea is nice.

Lions kept 29 defensive players and only 21 offensive players, and they should, the defensive depth was wonderful whereas the offensive players cut were just guys. Rather than graciously providing the first players picked off waivers for nothing, better to hold the defensive talent and trade with some team that has kept an extra back end WR, OT, or PK.

I change starting words all the time but have only once seen a former word come up as the answer. For a few weeks when I first started, my go-to word was 'audio' but I haven't used it in a very long time, I'm more interested in finding consonants.
